The Traffic Police Control Room of Mumbai received a death threat on Sunday (Nov 3) for Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath asking him to either resign from his position in the next 10 days or die like Baba Siddique.
Maharashtra's former minister and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) senior leader Baba Siddique was killed by three assailants on October 12 in Mumbai and his murder was orchestrated by jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
Mumbai Police Traffic Control Cell said that the threat message was received by some unknown number.
Police detain 'mentally unstable' woman
A 24-year-old woman was detained by the Mumbai Police in the case of allegedly sending a death threat for CM Adityanath to Mumbai traffic police.
After conducting investigations, the police identified Fatima Khan - who is from the Ulhasnagar area in Maharashtra - as the sender of the death threat.
The joint operation for nabbing the woman was conducted by the Mumbai Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), along with Ulhasnagar police.
Fatima Khan has completed her BSc in Information Technology, however, she was found to be mentally unstable, said the police while speaking to news agency PTI.
In this case, the police have not yet registered an FIR. The security of the chief minister has been enhanced after the death threat.

The threat message for CM Adityanath has come days after a string of death threats for actor Salman Khan was received by the Mumbai police in the past few weeks, some of them saying that the actor would be killed if he failed to pay a ransom.
On October 30, the police arrested a man, identified as Azam Mohammed Mustafa. for sending a death threat to Khan and demanding a ransom of Rs 20 million ($2,37,716).
Another 20-year-old man, Mohammad Tayyab, was arrested on October 29 for issuing a threat to Baba Siddique's son, Bandra East NCP MLA Zeeshan Siddique and Khan.
