Ravan Dahan ritual takes a turn
As part of the traditional Ravan Dahan ritual, the towering effigy was ignited in front of a large crowd. This act symbolises the triumph of Lord Ram over Ravan, a significant narrative in Hindu mythology that emphasises the importance of righteousness and the victory of good over evil.
