'The Modi government in its arrogance has cast a dark shadow on India's Parliamentary democracy by sabotaging the Winter session of Parliament on flimsy grounds,' Gandhi said?at a meeting of the Congress Working Committee
Congress President Sonia Gandhi slammed the government Monday for "sabotaging" the winter sessionof Parliament.
She said the government was sabotaging the session on "flimsy grounds".
"The Modi government in its arrogance has cast a dark shadow on India's Parliamentary democracy by sabotaging the Winter session of Parliament on flimsy grounds," PTI reported Gandhi as saying.
Gandhi also took potshots at the GST and demonetisation.
She said the government had been ill-prepared to implementthe Goods and Services Tax, and that demonetisation had "left millions of people suffering".
Gandhi was speaking at a meeting of the Congress Working Committee.

Gandhi added that the government was"forcefully" trying to change the history of modern India by "erasing contributions" made by India's first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru and his daughter Indira Gandhi.
Arun Jaitley responded to Sonia Gandhi's allegations, saying the Congress too had postponed Parliament sessions because they had coincided with election campaigns.
"It has been a tradition and it has happened several times that Parliament sessions are rescheduled when an election is happening," Jaitley said.
The winter session of Parliament usually starts from the third week of November and lasts until the third week of December.
This time around, the government is considering a truncated winter session of around 10 days starting from the second week of December.
