
Rajasthan government on Monday increased dearness allowance (DA) for its government employees by 2%.
The allowance has now been hiked to 9 per cent from 7 per cent previously.
The revised allowance rate will come into effect from July 1, 2018. The increased amount of July and August will be credited to the General Provident Fund Account of the employees, news agency PTI reported.
According to the official release, cash payments shall be admissible from September 1, 2018.
Employees recruited to civil services on or after January 1, 2004, and those governed by Contributory Pension Scheme will receive their allowance arrears in cash.
