The snippets of the "informal interview" for news agency ANI was shared online wherein the Bollywood actor engages in a "freewheeling" conversation with the Prime Minister. The whole interview will be aired by ANI on Wednesday.

"You sleep only for 3.30 hours, how do you manage?" Akshay Kumar asks PM Modi to which the prime minister replied saying that even former US President Barack Obama once asked him the same and often enquires "if I have increased my sleeping hours".

Akshay Kumar also shared parts of the interview on his Twitter handle stating that he is "privileged to have done this candid and COMPLETELY NON POLITICAL freewheeling conversation with our PM".

"Do you ever wonder whether PM Modi manages to laugh during the heat of the election campaign," read Kumar's another tweet.

"Doing something I have never done before. Excited and nervous both," he tweeted out yesterday.

He later clarified that his move has nothing to do with contesting the ongoing Lok Sabha polls.
