National Security Advisor Ajit Doval is expected to visit Jammu and Kashmir on Monday after the Central government moved a resolution to scrap Articles 370 and 35A.
According to reports, NSA Ajit Doval will visit Kashmir along with other senior security officials, to review the situation on the ground.
Doval had visited Srinagar last week ahead of the Centre's announcement on its decision to revoke Article 370.
Doval also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah at PM's residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg.
Announcing the decision in the Rajya Sabha on Monday, Home Minister Amit Shah said there should be no delay in implementing the decision.
"I am presenting the resolution to revoke Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir except the first clause 370 (1)," Amit Shah said in the Parliament.
Meanwhile, Centre has asked states and Union Territories to keep security forces on "maximum alert" following decisions related to Jammu and Kashmir to "pre-empt" and "prevent any breach of security", a communique issued by Home Ministry said.
