The Bharat Bandh was called by the Congress over the issue of rising fuel prices. Petrol prices in Delhi recently breached the Rs 80 mark.

Paris knife attack leaves 7 injured, French Police arrest suspect

Seven people were left injured in Paris after they were attacked by a man armed with a knife and an iron bar, according to police and other sources.

Police have arrested one man in connection with the incident, which took place on the banks of a popular canal in the northeastern district of Quai de la Loire. 

The man is thought to be an Afghan national.

Novak Djokovic clinched his third US Open title on Sunday with a 6-3, 7-6 (7/4), 6-3 win over Juan Martin del Potro to equal Pete Sampras' haul of 14 Grand Slams.

NFL players resumed kneeling protests during the pre-game playing of the US national anthem at Sunday's 2018 season openers as US President Donald Trump warned dimming TV ratings will plunge.

Miami Dolphins receivers Kenny Stills and Albert Wilson kneeled during "The Star-Spangled Banner" and defensive end Robert Quinn raised a fist during the song ahead of the team's season opener against visiting Tennessee.
