Mukhtar Ansari's autopsy report indicates cardiac arrest as cause of death

Mukhtar Ansari

Mukhtar Ansari's autopsy revealed that the politician-turned-gangster passed away due to cardiac arrest, refuting claims made by his relatives and other prominent figures that he had been poisoned.

A group of doctors performed the autopsy at the Rani Durgawati Medical College, the place where Ansari passed away on Thursday (March 28).

The autopsy was conducted in presence of family members in the autopsy room, and the entire procedure was captured on camera. To determine whether there was any poisoning at all, the medical panel kept the viscera, which would be sent for forensic analysis.

It is worth noting here that, Mukhtar Ansari's son Umar Ansari wrote a letter to the District Magistrate seeking the procedure to be performed by AIIMS doctors. He expressed his lack of hope for justice from the local administration.

After the autopsy process, Ansari’s body was taken to his native place Ghazipur amid heavy security.

A grave has been dug at the family cemetery at Mohammadabad's Kali Bagh in Ghazipur where his parents were laid to rest. The last rites will be performed on Saturday (March 31) morning.
