To deny PM Modi another term in power amid the BJP-led NDA's ambitious goal to win 400 of 543 Lok Sabha seats, top opposition parties banded together as 'INDIA' bloc.

In the Lok Sabha Elections 2014, the NDA was estimated to win around 257-340 seats. The NDA won336 seats.
