Karni Sena, a right-wing group in India, has announced a reward of $132,152 (Rs 1.11 crore) to kill gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in an encounter, according to media reports on Tuesday (Oct 22). 

Karni Sena's National President Raj Shekhawat released a video statement where he announced the aforementioned amount of money as a reward for any police officer or security personnel that neutralised Bishnoi, a report by the Navbharat Times said.

Lawrence Bishnoi recently made headlines after his gang claimed responsibility for killing Maharashtra-based politician Baba Siddique in Mumbai on October 12.

Karni Sena's accusation against Bishnoi

In the video statement, Raj Shekhawat said that Bishnoi was behind the killing of the Karni Sena chief Shaheed Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, the Navbharat Times reported.

Gogamedi was shot dead in Rajasthan's Jaipur on December 5 last year and Bishnoi's gang claimed responsibility for his murder. 

Latest update from Baba Siddique's murder case

In the latest updates from Baba Siddique's murder case, the Mumbai police said on Sunday that a total of 10 people have been arrested in connection with the politician's killing, a report by the news agency ANI said.

Siddique was shot dead outside his office in Mumbai's Nirmal Nagar, with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claiming responsibility for his murder.
