The security personnel of Army artillery unit at Jammu and Kashmir's Rajarwani in Uri detected suspicious movement around the military camp and opened fire on Sunday night.
The army cordoned off the area and launched a search operation jointly by the police.
Two people were examined in connection with the case, reports said.
