Gujarat Elections 2022: Check full list of BJP, Congress and AAP candidates, their constituencies

Votes will be cast for 89 assembly seats in the Indian state of Gujarat tomorrow, on Thursday (December 1). Since 1995, the BJP has held on to power in Gujarat, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to keep his party's winning ways in his own state going. Between 2001 and 2014, PM Modi oversaw the state for 13 years until his Bharatiya Janata Party chose him as its candidate for the post of Prime Minister of India and he won. The Gujarat elections will take place on the dates declared by the Election Commission of India. The voting for the 182 seats in Gujarat will be held in two phases, on December 1 and 5. The counting of votes will happen on December 8.

89 seats will be up for election on 1stDecember and on 5thDecember voting will be done on the remaining 93 seats. In the last elections, the BJP won 99 seats, marking its sixth straight victory, while the Congress took home 77 seats. Following defections, the BJP's representation in the House rose to 111, while Congressnumbers fell to 62.
