"It (kill assailants mercilessly) was not my order, I was emotional at that moment. They (killers) are the reason for two murders and they were in jail," Kumaraswamy clarified.

"They came out on bail 2 days ago and killed another person (JDS leader Prakash), this is how they are misusing bail," the chief minister added.

The JDS local leader Prakash was killed on Monday in Mandya, Karnataka.

Reports suggest the killers were motorcycle-borne assailants who forcefully stopped Prakash's vehicle and attacked him. Prakash was rushed to the local hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
