Committed to settling displaced Kashmiri Pandits in their native places: PM Modi 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that he was committed to settling displaced Kashmiri Pandits in their native places in Kashmir and work has started in that direction.

Addressing an election rallyin Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir, Modi said Congress policies were behind the migration of Kashmiri Pandits from Valley.

''Congress might avoid taking their name but this chowkidar is committed to letting Kashmiri Pandits live on their land. We're also making efforts to form a law to provide citizenship to families which have come here helplessly from Pakistan,'' Modi said.

By coming out to vote in large numbers in Baramulla and Jammu, you have given a befitting reply to terrorist leaders, opportunists, he added.

Modi also accused Abdullah and Mufti family of destroying the lives of three generations of Jammu and Kashmir and said they can not divide the country.

''Two families have ruined three generations of Jammu and Kashmir. For better future of the state, they need to be voted out,'' he said.

Modi also attacked Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh for his ''devotion to Gandhi family''.

''I can understand the kind of pressure which must have been put on him for such parivar bhakti','' Modi said.

Accusing the Congress of politicising Jallianwala Bagh centenary event, Modi said vice president was in Jallianwala Bagh for the event but Congress chief minister from the state was not present.

Modi also said ''Congress never trusted the valour of Indian armed forces'' and accused it of ''doubting IAF strikes in Balakot''.
