One of the legendary managers in theclub’sglorious history, Klopp won all the major honours with Merseyside club and decided to leavebackin February. His departure after the 2023-24 season left a big void to fill as the Reds werein search ofa new manager.Xabi Alonso was the favourite to take the job, butwith him committing to Bayer Leverkusen,Slot was the new favourite to take charge.

The Dutchman made no secret of his desire to manage Feyenoord for Liverpool and spoke on the same in the past. Itis reportedthat Slot will become the new manager on July 1 andwillbring his own staff when he takes over the reins of the side.

The 45-year-old will have a big task in handsucceedingKlopp, who won the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup and the League Cup with Liverpool. Apart from that, he also won the UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup, making him the most successful manager in history in terms of the variety of trophies won.
