Talks of Xavi getting sacked emerged on Friday (May 17) after the Barcelona boardwasreported to beunhappy with his recent words on Real Madrid being a more stable club in finances. However, with an opportunity to seal the second spot in La Liga, Xavi has avoided any such conversation and assured that he retains thefaith of the management.

On Friday, reports ofXavi’sfuture surfaced in Spanish media as the boardwas considering sacking him.The 44-year-old spoke on the financial situationof the clubstatingBarcelona won’tcompete with them on all fronts.While nothing is concrete yet, the board isreported to betaking the claims seriously and could come up with a decision at the end of the season.
