A day earlier, she revealed their three-year relationship had continued until the Bad Boy Records founder was arrested in September 2024 at a New York hotel, where she’d been planning to meet him. Combs, 55, has pleaded not guilty to charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. If found guilty, the former music mogul could face 15 years to life in prison. He has been jailed without bail. Prosecutors allege Combs used violence, threats, and a network of employees and associates to control and abuse women for two decades. His lawyers argued that although there was domestic violence in his relationships, everything he did sexually was consensual. Earlier in the trial, the R&B singer Casandra “Cassie” Ventura testified over four days that Combs physically abused her and that she participated in hundreds of “freak off” sexual performances during their 11-year relationship that ended in 2018. Ex-girlfriend cross-examined Teny Geragos, a lawyer for Combs, cross-examined Jane on Tuesday about the drug-fueled sexual marathons that took place, which were all choreographed by Combs. Earlier on Monday, Jane revealed she began therapy three months ago and struggles to understand why she kept participating in “hotel nights” even though she only wanted to have sex with Combs, but that the reasons were “becoming more and more clear” as she proceeds with therapy. Jane initially felt it was “something very special” to have these secret sexual experiences with Combs. She said she didn’t want to judge him and “really wanted to just go along with these things because if I can be my partner’s escapes, than I would be”. ‘Cuckold’ lifestyle Jane revealed that she researched sexual variations in 2022 to understand the words ‘cuck’ and ‘cuckold’ – which fit her and Diddy’s lifestyle. She said a man known as a “cuck” derives pleasure from seeing “his woman receive pleasure” from another man. In earlier testimony, Jane provided recent examples of Combs acting violently toward a woman while seeking to fulfill his sexual desires.

Two more BTS members were released from South Korean military service Wednesday, bringing the K-pop supergroup closer to a reunion as they promised fans a "better version" of themselves soon. The septuplet BTS, South Korea's most lucrative musical act, has been on a self-described hiatus since 2022 while its members separately completed their military service, which is mandatory in the South for all men under 30. More than a thousand fans gathered at the site of a press conference near the two army bases where singer Jimin -- whose solo single "Who" holds the record for longest-running K-pop song on the Billboard Hot 100 -- and singer Jungkook were discharged. With so many people assembled to greet the music icons, the networks were overloaded and some broadcasters experienced satellite disruptions. When the members started to speak, their voices were often drowned out by the deafening cheers and joyful screams from the crowd. "Thank you so much for waiting for us all this time," Jungkook said. "Now that we've been discharged, I believe it's time for us to keep drawing the picture we've always envisioned. We'll make sure to prepare well and show you an even better version of ourselves." Jimin said the military "wasn't an easy place".

A popular face on TikTok and Instagram, Nara, 24, revealed on social media that she and her husband, model Lucky Blue Smith, were expecting their fourth baby together.

Model-turned-TikToker Nara Smith just announced her fourth pregnancy. A popular face on TikTok and Instagram, Nara, 24, revealed on social media that she and her husband, model Lucky Blue Smith, were expecting their fourth baby together. The news comes less than a year after the couple publicly said they were finished growing their family after welcoming their third child, a baby girl, in April 2024. In an adorable Instagram video posted on June 8, the couple shared the happy news with the caption: “Baby 4 loading...” with a video that showed Nara’s baby bump on full display as the couple embraced outdoors. The couple are already parents to three children: daughters Rumble Honey and Whimsy Lou, and son Slim Easy. Lucky also shares a daughter, Gravity, from a previous relationship. Ever since the couple announced their fourth pregnancy, fans are eager to find out what quirky name Baby no 4 will have. Nara's fourth pregnancy has also created buzz as the couple had announced last year that they were finished growing their family. Initially, the couple had plans to be a family of si,x but soon after the birth of Whimsy Lou, the couple had famoulsy announced that they were done growing their family. In an interview, Lucky even joked that “having toddlers is the best birth control.” Who is Nara Smith? Born to a South African mother and a German father, Nara grew up in Germany with two other siblings. She started modelling at the age of 14. She continued with her career after moving to California from Europe at the age of 18. Nara said in her TikTok that she met Lucky through her modelling career when she first moved to Los Angeles, and after six months, the two got married on Feb. 21, 2020. “the boy who stole my heart... I married my best friend today,” Nara captioned an Instagram video of herself jumping into Lucky’s arms as he swung her around on their wedding day. On her wedding day, she wore a satin ivory Orseund Iris gown that featured long sleeves, a high neckline and a cutout at the chest and back. Lucky wore a baby blue suit with a darker blue tie. Nara and Lucky's growing family The couple welcomed their first child, Rumble Honey in October 2020. Their second child, a son named Slim Easy, came just over a year later on Jan. 6, 2022. In December 2023, the couple announced they were expecting their third child. “volume 3 coming next year 🤍,” they wrote in a joint post on Instagram of Nara debuting her baby bump. In the weeks after her announcement, the model hosted an Instagram Q&A where her followers asked her questions on everything, ranging from her choice to have home births to her decision to have another child. She shared that while she was originally “adamant” about not having any more babies, she ultimately changed her mind. She had earlier mentioned that she wanted to be a young mother. “I know that 22 is considered young nowadays, to be having kids, but I love being a young mom and growing with my kids,” she had written once on social media, addressing questions about being a young mum. “I never feel like I’m ‘missing out’ or not ‘living life’ like a girl in her 20s. Everyone’s concept of what they want in life is unique to them and I wouldn’t change my journey at all." The model has also sparked discussions online thanks to a popular video on TikTok, which projects her as a traditional stay-at-home mom, who spends hours cooking from scratch, managing household duties and promoting a homemaker's lifestyle. While many admire her skill and devotion and the aesthetics of her videos, there are others who question the accessibility of this lifestyle, especially for moms juggling careers, busy schedules, or limited resources. Cooks from a scratch Nara initially wanted to be a marine biologist, but said her plans 'shifted' eventually as she now focuses on cooking and social media. She has 4.6 million followers (and counting) on social media. Her typical cooking videos will grab your attention for the aesthetics, and she's cooking an elaborate meal from scratch. One would mostly find her dressed impeccably as she makes meals from scratch. A regular meatball and spaghetti dinner would involve making the spaghetti on her own instead of store-bought, along with creating the perfect sauce to accompany the meatballs. In one March 2024 video, she shared how her children were craving cereal, so she made Cinnamon Toast Crunch from scratch. In another February 2024 post, Nara made homemade bagels and cream cheese to commemorate her and Lucky’s fourth wedding anniversary. After receiving hateful comments, Nara gave a disclaimer at the start of one of her videos that she enjoys cooking for others and that she isn’t expected to do it. “I just want to put a disclaimer out there that I enjoy taking care of people by cooking for them,” she said. “This is not something that is expected of me or something that I have to do.”

Forsyth famously penned his most famous work about a fictional assassination attempt on French president Charles de Gaulle by right-wing extremists in just 35 days after falling on hard times.

Prolific British thriller writer Frederick Forsyth, who instantly became a global bestselling author when his book "The Day of the Jackal" was published in 1971, died on Monday, aged 86, his literary agents, Curtis Brown said. Forsyth famously penned his most famous work about a fictional assassination attempt on French president Charles de Gaulle by right-wing extremists in just 35 days after falling on hard times. "The Jackal" went on to be made into a hit film starring Edward Fox as the assassin. A Netflix remake last year with Eddie Redmayne in the lead role was released last year. "We mourn the passing of one of the world's greatest thriller writers," his agent Jonathan Lloyd said. Forsyth died at home surrounded by his family following a brief illness, according to Curtis Brown. The former journalist and pilot wrote over 25 books including "The Odessa File" (1972) and "The Dogs of War" (1974) and sold over 75 million copies worldwide. Many of his novels were also turned into films. "Only a few weeks ago I sat with him as we watched a new and moving documentary of his life ... and was reminded of an extraordinary life, well lived," said Lloyd. "After serving as one of the youngest ever RAF pilots, he turned to journalism, using his gift for languages in German, French and Russian to become a foreign correspondent in Biafra (in Nigeria)," he said. - 'Spectacular luck' - "Appalled at what he saw and using his experience during a stint as a secret service agent, he wrote his first and perhaps most famous novel, 'The Day Of The Jackal'," he added. A sequel to "The Odessa File", entitled "Revenge Of Odessa", on which he worked with thriller writer Tony Kent, is due to be published in August, his publisher Bill Scott-Kerr said. "His journalistic background brought a rigour and a metronomic efficiency to his working practice and his nose for and understanding of a great story kept his novels both thrillingly contemporary and fresh," Scott-Kerr added. Forsyth attributed much of his success to "luck", recalling how a bullet narrowly missed him while he was covering the bloody Biafra civil war between 1967 and 1970. "I have had the most spectacular luck all through my life," he told The Times last November in an interview. "Right place, right time, right person, right contact, right promotion -- and even just turning my head away when that bullet went past," he said. Asked why he had decided to give up writing -- although he later went back to it -- he told AFP in 2016 he'd "run out of things to say". "I can't just sit at home and do a nice little romance from within my study, I have to go out and check out places like Modagishu, Guinea Bissau, both hellholes in different ways," he said. Forsyth had two sons by his first wife. His second wife, Sandy, died last year. Conservative MP David Davis paid tribute to his friend as a "fabulous wordsmith". He told Sky News that Forsyth "was a great believer in the old values -– he believed in honour and patriotism and courage and directness and straightforwardness, and a big defender of our armed forces".

The seven members of BTS, South Korea's most popular musical act, have been on a hiatus since 2022 while they separately undertake mandatory military service.

Look who's back! K-pop stars and BTS band members RM and V were released on Tuesday after serving in the South Korean military for 18 months. The seven members of BTS, South Korea's most popular musical act, have been on a hiatus since 2022 while they separately undertake mandatory military service, required of all South Korean men under the age of 30. On Tuesday, as RM and V were released, hundreds of fans gathered near two army bases just outside of the capital, Seoul, to welcome their favourite stars. "To be honest, there were many difficult and painful moments. But during my service, I truly felt how so many people were protecting the country in our place," RM told reporters. V said military service was "a time for me to reset and rebuild both my body and mind". "Now that I've done that, I truly want to run straight to ARMY as soon as possible," he said, referring to the band's official fandom name. When asked by reporters what they wanted to do after discharge, both replied, "perform". "What we want most right now is to perform again," said RM. "We're working hard on the new album so we can return to the stage as soon as possible." In total, four BTS members will complete their service this week. Two were discharged last year, and the final member SUGA -- who has been working as a social service agent for alternative non-active-duty service -- will be released later this month. HYBE, the band's agency, urged fans not to go to the discharge location, citing safety concerns. "With the safety of both artists and fans in mind, we strongly urge fans not to go to the location in person," the agency wrote on Weverse, its superfan platform. Despite the warning, dozens of fans gathered outside V's military base, eagerly awaiting the return of their star. "Honestly, I came here with such high expectations," Yang Ho-hee, 28, told AFP outside the base. Fans had hung colourful banners to welcome the 29-year-old back to civilian life. "Taehyung, let's never be apart again," one said, referring to V's real name, Kim Tae-hyung. "I'll follow only you, Taehyung. We are each other's strength," said another. Reunion tour? Near the bases, on a football field where the newly released BTS members spoke, hundreds of fans from around the world gathered hoping to catch a glimpse of their idols. "Actually, it's mixed emotions. I feel like I'm crying already," said Arlene Mendoza, a fan from the Philippines to AFP. "I've been travelling to Korea so many times, but this is actually the first time I'll see V." In addition to the army releases, Friday is so-called FESTA -- a celebration that marks the anniversary of the group's debut and typically draws thousands of global fans to Seoul. Mendoza told AFP she plans to attend fellow member J-Hope's concert on Friday, plus join other BTS FESTA events. All the band members signed new contracts with HYBE in 2023, and once SUGA is released on June 21, analysts expect profit-driving reunion activities. GDP impact Prior to their mandatory military service, the boy band generated more than 5.5 trillion won ($4 billion) in yearly economic impact, according to the Korea Culture and Tourism Institute. That accounts for roughly 0.2 percent of South Korea's total GDP, according to official data. HYBE has hinted at a BTS comeback this year, but has also said the members "need time for reflection and preparation". "Normally, the process goes from song production to album release, then a tour," Lee Jae-sang, CEO of HYBE, told a shareholder meeting in March. "But since BTS have already become global top-tier artists, we are continuing discussions about their vision and what's next," Lee added. Outside HYBE headquarters in Seoul, banners from fans read: "Thank you for making even the waiting feel joyful." The building was wrapped with the slogan "WE ARE BACK", the official logo for the upcoming BTS FESTA. (With agency inputs)

On Monday (June 9), Judge Lewis J. Liman granted motions to dismiss both the $400 million countersuit filed by Baldoni and his company Wayfarer Studios, and the $250 million defamation suit against the Times.

In a major legal setback, Justin Baldoni has had two high-profile lawsuits dismissed, one against Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist, and another against The New York Times. On Monday (June 9), Judge Lewis J. Liman granted motions to dismiss both the $400 million countersuit filed by Baldoni and his company Wayfarer Studios, and the $250 million defamation suit against the Times. Judge says allegations lacked legal backing Baldoni and the Wayfarer Parties had accused Lively and Reynolds of extortion and defamation, while also claiming the Times made defamatory statements. However, Judge Liman ruled that the claims did not meet the legal threshold required. According to the judge’s order, the allegations against Lively were based only on statements made in her CRD (Civil Rights Division) complaint, which are legally privileged and therefore cannot form the basis of a defamation case. “The Wayfarer Parties have not alleged that Lively is responsible for any statements other than the statements in her CRD complaint, which are privileged,” the judge stated in the official court filing obtained by PEOPLE. Claims against Reynolds, publicist and Times also dismissed The judge also dismissed claims against Reynolds, publicist Leslie Sloane, and the Times, noting that Baldoni’s legal team had not shown that any of them acted with actual malice, a key requirement in defamation cases. “There was no allegation that Reynolds, Sloane or the Times would have seriously doubted these statements were true based on the information available to them,” the court order read. The judge concluded that the entire amended complaint must be dismissed, although Baldoni’s lawyers have been allowed to revise and resubmit certain claims, including breach of implied covenant and tortious interference, by 23 June. Lively had earlier dropped some claims This decision follows an earlier development in the same legal battle. Blake Lively had withdrawn two emotional distress claims against Baldoni after his legal team asked her to submit medical records to support her case. While her lawyers described the move as a “routine” effort to streamline the case, Baldoni’s attorney Bryan Freedman criticised the actress in March. He said, “Her attempt to try and dismiss herself from the self-concocted disaster she initiated is one of the most abhorrent examples of abusing our legal system.”
