Since this matter is sub judice, this will be the only statement we shall be making at this time. We have full faith in the legal system of our country and are confident that justice will prevail."</p><h2>What's the controversy?</h2><p>The controversy began after Bhagnani publicly objected to the use of the recreated versions of Chunnari Chunnari and Ishq Sona Hai in the film. He alleged that the required permissions and No Objection Certificates had not been obtained for the tracks, both originally featured in Biwi No. 1, which he produced.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Bhagnani had also claimed that the storyline of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai resembled the Salman Khan-starrer.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Directed by David Dhawan, the comedy entertainer stars Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur. The team of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai has addressed the ongoing controversy about the allegations made by producer Vashu Bhagnani over the recreated versions of Chunnari Chunnari and Ishq Sona Hai from the 1999 film Biwi No. 1.

Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai has recently been making headlines for its recreated tracks, and now the makers of the film have issued a sharp response to producer Vashu Bhagnani over his allegations linked to the songs Chunnari Chunnari and Ishq Sona Hai from the 1999 film Biwi No. 1. The team, along with producer Ramesh Taurani and Tips Music, issued an official statement and dismissed Bhagnani’s claims, accusing him of attempting to negatively impact the film. It is amply clear to us that this is a smear campaign driven by personal vendetta, intended to derail the release of our film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai." The production team also referred to their decades-long association with Bhagnani, and added, "Our association with Mr. Bhagnani dates back to 1995, when we generously offered him a 50 percent partnership and a producer credit on a project for which we had laid out all the ground work. Coolie No. 1 went on to become a massive box office hit and gave Mr. Bhagnani a kick-start in the industry." "However, Mr. Bhagnani remains determined to spread misinformation via various platforms, including social media. Suspiciously, he has also chosen to file a legal complaint in Kathihar court in Bihar over 2000 kms away from Mumbai. He decided to take legal action against all associated with our film rather than engage in direct dialogue." Also Read: Is Varun Dhawan's Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai a remake of Biwi No 1? This had to be made. Last year's brazen robbery of the Louvre -- when thieves made off with jewellery worth some $100 million -- is set to become a movie and a documentary series, a publisher said on Tuesday. French director Romain Gavras, whose work includes 2025 Hollywood film Sacrifice starring Anya Taylor-Joy and music videos, including most recently a hypnotic schoolboy choreography for GENER8ION -- will draw inspiration from the investigative book ‘Main basse sur le Louvre’ (literally "A grab at the Louvre") to create a big screen adaptation of the heist. Film rights to the book about the October 19, 2025 heist had been sold to the production company Iconoclast while rights for a documentary series were acquired by a British producer, the Flammarion publishing house said. The book, written by three journalists from French dailies Le Parisien and Le Monde, and weekly glossy magazine Paris Match, is to hit bookstores on Wednesday. According to trade magazine Le Film Francais, the movie project is in development, though neither the title nor the cast has been announced. About the Louvre heist The Louvre heist sent shockwaves around the world and sparked a security crisis within the world-famous museum that ultimately led to the replacement of its director, Laurence des Cars. After seven months of investigation, and despite the arrests of the main suspects, the jewels have still not been found. The authors said their apparent disappearance "has become a dense mystery, a puzzle that has plunged investigators into deep confusion". The heist illustrates how "the theft of artworks has become a business like any other for many criminals", they say. "The criminal underworld has found a new cash cow.".

He divides the two-hour film between childhood romance and an adult relationship. Starting with a dreamy world of Aarav and Chandani, their sweet and cringeworthy romance from texting each other to spending every second of their lives together and all this with the music in the background, something that we have seen multiple times in movies, but never gets boring. Aarav is the cool boy of the college, with six-pack abs and a cigarette in one hand. At the same time, Chandani is the girl who always prefers to wear pastel-coloured churidar with a dupatta. Their romance phase looks beautiful and entertaining on the screen. But soon, you may get bored with the cringiness or over-the-top dialogues when it comes to proving love. The good and different thing is that the movie never gets heavy with misogyny, where the boy wants the girl at any cost, and no other guy in college can even look at her. Thankfully, that kind of stuff is skipped. <a href="https://www.wionews.com/entertainment/bollywood/chand-mera-dil-review-ananya-panday-and-lakshya-shine-in-this-delulu-to-selulu-romance-1779428436442">Read the full review here.&nbsp;</a></p>

<p>What started as merely an actor dropping out of a major project has now become a full-blown industry war. After the success of Dhurandhar 2, Ranveer Singh opted to step away from Don 3, directed by Farhan Akhtar, leading to a professional tiff. The latest update is that the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), has issued a non-cooperation directive against him over the ongoing Don 3 dispute.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>As the dispute takes a major turn, here's the full timeline</p><h2>Don 3 announcement</h2><p>Don 3 is one of the most loved franchises in the Indian film industry. From Amitabh Bachchan in the 1978 film to Shah Rukh Khan in Don 2, it was Ranveer Singh who was set to play the role next. In August 2023, Farhan Akhtar announced Singh as the new Don with the tagline “A new era begins.” A teaser was released showing the director sitting in a chair.</p>

<p>Announced in 2023, the movie has continually faced delays, with rumours of the project being shelved. However, in November 2025, Akhtar himself clarified in an interview that the movie was set to go on floors in 2026.</p><h2>Don 3 delay</h2><p>Since its announcement by Farhan Akhtar, Don 3 has encountered repeated delays. Despite generating significant buzz after its announcement, the film has undergone script revisions, production delays, and a change in its lead actress.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>In early 2024, FWICE reportedly intervened over the uncertainty faced by crew members involved in the project. <p>Months later, Farhan himself addressed the rumours and said, “We start filming next year. That’s probably the biggest update that I can give you.” Akhtar gave the update in November 2025, just a few weeks before Dhurandhar's release on Dec 5.&nbsp;</p><h2>Ranveer Singh's shocking departure</h2><p>Weeks after Dhurandhar's release, news of the film's leading man, Ranveer Singh, stepping out of the project broke and quickly became the talk of the town. The movie is backed by Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment. According to a report in Pinkvilla, Ranveer wants to explore a different genre and avoid being part of another gangster film. However, other reports claimed that he was unhappy with production delays and the script. With all this, creative differences played a major role in Ranveer stepping out.</p><h2>Rs 40 crore compensation demand</h2><p>Ranveer Singh's exit hit a roadblock when Akhtar's production house, Excel Entertainment, reportedly sought hefty compensation of Rs 40 crores in damages.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The movie was in pre-production, and Excel Entertainment had spent a huge amount on script development, scheduling, location planning, and other preparatory work before Singh's shocking exit.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Reports claim the actor exited the film due to dissatisfaction with the script, despite reportedly requesting changes earlier. Excel Entertainment maintains that pre-production began only after Ranveer approved the script.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Initially, it was reported that the actor was willing to pay a certain amount to cover losses incurred during the pre-production and development stages. However, Excel Entertainment reportedly demanded a much higher compensation amount. He was willing to pay a certain amount just as a gesture of goodwill, which Farhan didn't agree to,” the source added.</p><h2>When the Producers Guild of India stepped in</h2><p><br>The Producers Guild of India advises makers and Ranveer Singh to take the legal route.</p><p>To solve this matter, the Producers Guild of India agreed to intervene in the dispute. However, Variety India learned that the guild has reportedly asked both parties to take the legal route, stating that they cannot resolve disputes when neither side is willing to compromise.''</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>As per reports, both parties arrived with proof to present their respective sides. Ranveer arrived with a collection of emails and WhatsApp messages, while Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. The discussion has to happen, and then you have to come to a final thing," he said. "In the entire press conference, we have never used this (ban) word. It is not used in the press release also. I don't know why people stoop so low. It's a very serious matter. It's a matter of the industry's survival," he concluded.</p><h2>Ranveer Singh's reaction to the ban</h2><p>Soon after the press conference held by FWICE, Singh's spokesperson issued a statement maintaining that Ranveer does not wish to escalate the issue publicly. "Ranveer Singh holds the highest regard for the film fraternity and for everyone associated with the Don franchise. Throughout the recent developments surrounding Don 3, he has consciously chosen to maintain silence, believing that professional discussions and personal equations are best handled with dignity, maturity and mutual respect," he said.</p>
