Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan's latest 'Thugs Of Hindostan' may have entered the esteemed Rs 100 crore club, but the film's earnings have steadfastly been dropping.

Released on the extended holiday weekend, the film got a record opening day collection but due to bad reviews, its earnings have been spiralling downwards.

According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film made Rs 22.75 crore on Saturday, pushing the total to Rs 105 crore. At the end of three days, the Hindi version had made Rs 101.75 crores, with the Tamil and Telugu versions contributing the rest Rs 3.25 cr in the same period.

Adarsh added that the film's earnings were dipping with each passing day, and predicted that by Day 5 it would be tough to sustain itself at the box office.

Produced by YRF, the film has reportedly been made on a budget of Rs 300 crores. It was Khan's big release post the humungous success of 'Dangal' that came in 2016.

The biggest slump was noticed from Thursday to Friday-a decline of 44.33%. Friday to Saturday also saw a decline of 19.47%. This is the Hindi business alone.

Interestingly the film, according to its producers, has broken a few records since its release. It is the highest all-time opening, the first film to cross Rs 50 crore in one day, the biggest single-day collection ever, the biggest Diwali opener of all time and YRF’s highest ever opening.

Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, the film also stars Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
