Pushpa 2: The Rule is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. While there are still afew months to go beforethe film releases, the makers are doing everything tokeepthe excitement around Pushpa alive amongfans.
On Friday (March 5), the makers celebrated the birthday of their lead star, Rashmika Mandanna by releasing the first poster of her character Srivalli from Pushpa part 2.
In the poster, Rashmika as Srivalli is looking fierce. She's wearing a green silk saree and is decked up with gold jewellery. Rashmika's expression in the poster is stern and ferocious, hinting at the drastic change in the characterthat the audience might see in part 2, unlike the sweet and joyous Srivalli we saw in the first part.

Talking about her role in part 2 of the movie, the actress said during an interview with Pinkvilla, ''My role in Pushpa 2 is that now she has become the wife and with becoming the wife of Pushpa, there are still some responsibilities to carry. In Pushpa 2, there is a lot more drama and bigger conflicts that we are facing as characters. Itโs going to be a lot more masala in part 2.โ
The new poster comes three days before the first teaser release. Earlier this week, actor Allu Arjun shared the teaser date of the movie with yet another poster. The teaser of the movie will be released on April 8, 2024.
On the work front, Rashkima was last seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal. The movie starring Ranbir Kapoor emerged as one of the highest-grossing movies of 2023. However, the movie earned a lot of backlash for its misogynistic content.

Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa: The Rule is the sequel to the successful Pushpa: The Rise which was released in 2021. Apart from Arjun, the film also features Fahad Faasil in an antagonist role. Pushpa 2: The Rule will hit theatres on August 15.
