If multiple reports are to be believed, Alia Bhatt is all set to play a Jazz singer to Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next titled Love And War. The film was announced a few months back and stars Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal along with Alia. 

A lot of details about the plot of the film have been kept under wraps. Fans only know that the movie will be released on Christmas 2025. 

A report on Peeping Moon has now claimed that the film will be a period drama. Bhansali is known for making visually stunning period dramas. In the past, he has made films like Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat, Devdas- all period dramas. 

The latest report states that the film will pay homage to Raj Kapoor, Vyjayanthimala, and Rajendra Kumar's most-loved film, Sangam. The cast of the film will play complex characters in the film.

The report mentioned that Alia Bhatt will be seen playing the role of jazz singer in Love And War. While the mystery around her character has been unveiled, the information about Kapoor and Kaushal’s character is still under wraps.

Reports state that the actors have already started preparing for this film as it is expected to start production by the end of this year. The makers have aimed to release the film on Christmas 2025.

Alia has worked with Vicky Kaushal in Raazi and with her husband Ranbir Kapoor in Brahmastra before. This will Alia's second film with Bhansali after Gangubai Kathiawadi which fetched her a National Award. 

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt recently wrapped up a shoot of her new film Jigra which also stars Vedang Raina. The film has been produced by Alia and directed by Vasan Bala.
