Kangana Ranaut is still miffed with Alia Bhatt, it seems. The 'Manikarnika' star has unleashed fresh round vitriol towards Bhatt.

While the world has lauded Bhatt's performance in Zoya Akhtar's film 'Gully Boy', Bhatt hasn't found a fan in Ranaut who termed her act as 'mediocre'.  

In an online poll conducted by BollywoodLife, Ranaut's performance in 'Manikarnika' got maximum number votes making her the Best Actress of this first quarter of 2019. Alia's performance in 'Gully Boy' was a close second. When Kangana was asked how she felt at defeating Alia in the poll, the actress said, I am embarrassed...What is there to beat in Gully Boy performance ....same snappy muh phat girl...”

“(It’s just) Bollywood’s idea of a fiery girl, woman empowerment and good acting, spare me this embarrassment, please. Media has taken filmy kids love too far...stop pampering mediocre work or else bar will never be raised,” the Manikarnika actress further said.

Interestingly this is not the first time that Alia has been at the receiving end of Kangana's caustic comments. Earlier, Kangana had said that Alia needed to grow a spine. "I suggested that she (Alia) grows some spine and supports an important film about woman  empowerment and nationalism...if she doesn’t have a voice of her own and her existence is all about being KJo’s puppet then I don’t consider her successful.”

Kangana has been miffed with not just Alia but quite a few Bollywood A-listers like Ranbir Kapoor, Aamir Khan and Karan Johar for not supporting or lauding her film 'Manikarnika'.
