Paris Olympics is garnering a lot of backlash for the 'Last Supper' drag performance during the opening ceremony on July 26. Several A-listers, celebrities and netizens have widely condemned the performance. Amid this, Bollywood actress andpolitician Kangana Ranaut also spoke out.

A few hours after the video of the controversial act became the talk of the world, Ranaut, sharing her opinion, called the rendition ''hyper-sexualized and blasphemous.''
Taking to her Instagram stories, the Queenactress wrote, "The Paris Olympics is under fire for including a *child* in their hyper-sexualized, blasphemous rendition of The Last Supper. An apparent child could be seen joining the drag queens during the performance.''
The act depicting Leonardo da Vinci's famous painting of the 'Last Supper' has been seen as an "insult" to billions of Christians worldwide.
Kangana added, "They also showed a naked man painted blue as Jesus and mocked Christianity. Leftists totally hijacked Olympics2024. Shame."

Why was the 'Last Supper' drag performancecriticised?
At the Summer Olympics opening ceremony, a set of drag queens including RuPaul's Drag Race season 12 participant Nicky Doll. Other well-known queens like Paloma, winner of Drag Race France season 1, and Piche, from Drag Race France season 3, made notable appearances alongside other drag performers.
The segment at the Olympics opening ceremony which had aimed to be a big moment for queer and drag representation earned major criticism when the 18 performances came together at a table as they depicted Leonardo da Vinci's famous painting of the 'Last Supper'.
