Comedian Pete Davidson is not doing too well. The actor-comedian who is best known for his gigs like Saturday Night Live and King of Staten Island, has reportedly checked into a facility to focus on his mental health.

Pete is reportedly taking time to prioritise his health over work commitments.

It was first reported by People, that the 30-year-old comedian is focusing on his mental health. After being a part of more than 200 live standup comedy shows across the United States, he has put a pause on other works.

As per a source cited in People, for Pete, mental health “has always been a priority”. Pete has previously spoken at length about his sobriety journey as well as his struggle with borderline personality disorder and severe post-traumatic stress disorder. It was in 2018 when Pete was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder.

The source added that his family and friends are extremely happy with his latest step. 

In the summer of 2023, Pete Davidson underwent treatment to address issues related to PTSD and borderline personality disorder. Once out of rehab, he spoke about it during a comedy show with John Mulaney and Jon Stewart in Atlantic City, New Jersey, in September 2023. At the time, he said, “I am fresh out of rehab, everyone. I got that post-rehab glow. The seventh time’s the charm.”

He got addicted to ketamine, used medically as an anaesthetic, daily for four years.

As for borderline personality disorder, it was in 2018 when he was diagnosed with the same after years of battling depression and anxiety.
