Reports suggest that Celine Dion, who hasn’t performed in a while, is in Paris for the Olympics and that she will not just be there to attend the massive sporting event but also perform at the opening ceremony. It was earlier reported that Lady Gaga might perform since she was in Paris too.

This will mark Celine’s first performance since her shocking Stiff Person Syndrome diagnosis. Due to the ailment, Celine cancelled all her then-tour dates and has since taken a backseat from music to focus on her health and get better. She has also only made a few public appearances since then.

Various reports suggest that Celine will open the Paris Olympics with a fire performance. The Canadian singer is in Paris currently. Celine was recently spotted making her way to the Royal Monceau hotel near the Champs-Élysées.

It is the same location where Lady Gaga is also staying. Does that mean they are performing together? We can only hope that’s true because it will kickstart the Olympics in such a starry manner.

Celine Dion is suffering from Stiff Person Syndrome

Celine’s reported performance at the Paris Olympics has been kept under wraps. If she returns on stage in Paris on July 26, it would mark the singer's first performance since she announced her Stiff Person Syndrome diagnosis.

SPS is a rare autoimmune disorder in which the person suffering deals with health issues like muscle spasms and stiffness, restricting movement altogether.

Celine Dion last made a surprise appearance at the Grammy Awards earlier this year in February. She took to the stage and received a standing ovation. Celine presented the last award of the night - Album of the Year to Taylor Swift's Midnights.
