From stories to heroes' buffoonery, songs and all the cringeworthy things that people do in love, Khaitan's films are mostly entertaining. However, this film is not one of them. It has the things that don't make you laugh; the over-dramatisation of the film bores you. Although the palette is very colourful, filled with designer clothes and everything nice, the story and actors fail to grip you on the screen,'' read the full review here.

About the investigation

This is the second high-profile appearance before the ANC in two days. Just a day before, actor Siddhanth Kapoor, brother of Shraddha Kapoor, appeared in the same case. Reportedly, the questioning went on for nearly five hours on Tuesday, and the officers recorded a 10–12-page statement.

What's the drug case

Their names surfaced during the interrogation of Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh, a.k.a Lavish, who is said to be a major suspect in the alleged drug trafficking network. The investigation started in March last year, when they recovered 126 kilograms of mephedrone from a manufacturing unit in Sangli. Reportedly, later, the ANC found an alleged interstate and international drug distribution network worth ₹252 crore.

Also Read: Tere Ishk Mein: Dhanush, Kriti Sanon film gets U/A certificate with ZERO cuts

Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh was deported from Dubai last month, and as per reports, he told investigators that he had organised drug-fuelled parties in India and overseas. However, the officials have stated that it is routine questioning to verify facts disclosed by the accused.

How IFFI's display became silent memorial for Bollywood icon Dharmendra

Social media has started buzzing after Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday called Zubeen Garg’s death “a plain and simple murder” and not an accident or a case of criminal conspiracy in the Assembly. While speaking on the Winter Session opening day, he stated that the government has been investigating the case as murder since the beginning, and some accused are already in custody.

Zubeen Garg was one of the most beloved musicians of Assam, and he died on September 19, 2025, in Singapore. Reportedly, the singer drowned while swimming. His demise not only saddened the fans but also sparked suspicion in Assam and other parts of the country.

Also Read: Former Miss India Celina Jaitly sues husband of domestic violence; seeks Rs 50 cr compensation

What Assam's CM said in the Assembly

While addressing the House, Sarma said that the investigators were convinced since the initial days that Garg's death was not accidental. "It is a murder from the very first day. The accused, Shyamkanu Mahanta, along with 4–5 accomplices, is locked up in a murder case. Our emotions are with Zubeen. Assam's CM Himanta Biswa Sarma has called Zubeen Garg’s death a murder in the Assembly on Monday. He said that since the beginning, the government has been treating the incident as murder, and not an accident.

"It is a murder from the very first day. The accused, Shyamkanu Mahanta, along with 4–5 accomplices, is locked up in a murder case. Our emotions are with Zubeen. That is why we are probing Zubeen Garg’s murder," the CM said. These claims came following CM's personal request to Speaker Biswajit Daimary to accept an adjournment motion to allow a full debate on the musician's demise, and his request was accepted by the Speaker. Opposition leaders Debabrata Saikia and Independent MLA Akhil Gogoi gave adjournment motions for clarity on the investigation. Also Read: Did Palaash Muchhal cheat on Smriti Mandhana? "All court proceedings and bail hearings have since been conducted under Section 103. The rejection of bail and granting of 14-day custody show the strength of the evidence gathered," Sarma added.
Indian cinema and fans across the world are mourning the death of Bollywood star Dharmendra, who took his last breath on Monday, at the age of 89. Loved for their charm and elegance, the action-packed movies are still very popular. But do you know, he was courageous in real life, too? During the 1980s and 90s, when Mumbai’s film industry was oppressed by the underworld, Bollywood's He-Man remained unshaken.

Unlike many other stars who bowed under the pressure of Extortion calls, threats, and forced involvement in mafia-backed films, Dharmendra refused to follow their terms.

Also Read: Shraddha Kapoor’s brother Siddhant Kapoor appears before Mumbai Police for questioning in Rs 252 crore drugs case; Orry summoned on Wednesday

Why did the underworld stay away from Dharmendra?

In a recent interview with Friday Talkies, before Dharmendra died, actor-director Satyajeet Puri said, "The underworld was at its peak then. Dharmendra passed away at the age of 89 on Monday in Mumbai. Known for his exceptional performance, he was courageous in real life as well. Unlike many other actors, he was not afraid of the underworld.

In a recent interview with Friday Talkies, before Dharmendra died, actor-director Satyajeet Puri said, "The underworld was at its peak then. One phone call and most actors would tremble." Talking about the late actor's bravery, he further added, “But Dharmendra and his family were never scared. If anyone tried to threaten him, he would tell them, ‘If you come for me, the whole Sahnewal (his village) will come from Punjab. You may have ten men, but I have an army. Ek bolunga aur truck bharke log aa jayenge. Don’t mess with me.’ And they never did.” Also Read: When Dharmendra revealed how his alcohol consumption affected Sunny Deol When a man attacked Dharmendra with a knife Recalling another incident, Puri said once a man attacked the actor with a knife in a public space, and Dharmendra handled the situation without calling anyone for help. The actor grabbed the man, disarmed him, and pinned him to the ground. "Today, actors move with bouncers. Back then, Dharmendra and Vinod Khanna would walk freely. They didn’t need security," Puri said. Actor-director Siddhant Kapoor was summoned by the Mumbai police for questioning in a drugs case. The actor was questioned for his connection with a sprawling narcotics investigation tied to suspected underworld links.

In the massive Rs 252-crore drug case, actor-director Siddhant Kapoor, who is also the brother of Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor, appeared before the Ghatkopar unit of Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) on Tuesday afternoon. He was summoned for questioning by the ANC on November 21 in connection with a sprawling narcotics investigation tied to suspected underworld links. The investigation centres on a seizure of mephedrone (MD) valued at around Rs 252 crore, traced to a manufacturing unit in Maharashtra’s Sangli district. Staggering claims were made earlier by a drug trafficker arrested earlier this month. According to submissions made by the ANC to a court in Mumbai, the trafficker, identified as Mohammad Salim Mohammad Suhail Shaikh, said he arranged lavish parties for celebrities where MD was also supplied. Among some names he took who attended these parties were actors Nora Fatehi, Shraddha Kapoor and her brother Siddhant Kapoor, Orry, film producers Abbas-Mustan and rapper Loka. Not just Bollywood celebrities, the trafficker also said that Baba Siddique's son and NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique, and the son of Dawood’s deceased sister Haseena Parkar were among attendees. The ongoing probe is in connection with an alleged drug trafficking syndicate linked with the Dawood Ibrahim gang. The drug trafficker who made these claims is reportedly a close aide of fugitive drug kingpin Salim Dola, who is a key member of the Dawood gang. Officials say they are only recording statements currently of the people who Shaikh claimed had attended these parties where he supplied drugs. These claims will be verified and based on the investigation and evidence gathered, the police will decide who will be named as an accused or witness in the case. Earlier, the ANC had also summoned popular social media influencer Orhan Awatramani alias Orry. However, Orry did not appear for questioning and requested for more time. The Ghatkopar unit of the Anti-Narcotics Cell had sent a second summons to Orry and he has been called for questioning on November 26.
