"We never anticipated having to clarify this, but Bekhayali is something we solely created. Every melody, arrangement and lyric was developed by us with the entire Kabir Singh team present."

They also opened up about the claims of industry favouritism, saying they had no prior association with T-Series before Bekhayali and questioned why Mallik congratulated them after Bekhayali's release if he believed they had stolen his credit. The Bekhayali controversy has intensified after Amaal Mallik denied all the claims of taking ownership of the song composed by Sachet–Parampara. He alleged that it was an attempt to malign his reputation.

Amaal Mallik has finally responded to the accusations made by composer duo Sachet Tandon and Parampara Thakur, who said that he wrongfully claimed the credit for the 2019 hit track Bekhayali from Kabir Singh. The former Bigg Boss 19 contestant firmly stated that he has never taken ownership of music composed by others and alleged that the duo is trying to malign his reputation within the industry. Amaal Mallik on the allegations During a conversation with Zoom, Mallik said, "I’ll take the bullet but speak the truth. Has any composer whose song I have recreated ever said that I destroyed their song? Never," he further added. Mallik on legal action He also questioned the duo's choice to address the issue on social media. "They never say this on my face. They will say it on Instagram but won’t go to court. Recently, makeup artist Preetisheel Singh, who worked closely on the film, has shared a transformation video of Gera that has gone viral.

Gaurav Gera's transformation

Sharing the behind-the-scenes video on Instagram, Singh wrote, “Recognise Gaurav Gera in Dhurandhar? Most didn’t! For his character Mohammad Aalam, we etched a lifetime into his features-softened lines, a natural salt-white beard, textured ageing, hair cropped to character. Every ‘I didn’t recognise him’ felt like the work landing exactly where it should, but above all, it celebrates Gaurav’s versatility and the ease with which he steps into a character.”

Also Read: Why I love Rajinikanth is different from why you love Rajinikanth

About Gaurav Gera

He is widely known for her comic character Chutki and has also worked in Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin. Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar is running successfully in theatres across the world. However, despite all the buzz, it has been reported that the movie has not been screened in any Gulf country. Released on Dec 5, the movie, which comes with a cast of superstars, including R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, and Rakesh Bedi, has crossed Rs 300 crore globally after garnering mixed reviews from critics and audience alike. Why was Dhurandhar movie banned in GCC countries? Today, 12 Dec, Ranveer's film completes one week at the theatres, and amid all, it has been reported that the movie didn't get clearance for release in the Middle East, allegedly due to its anti-Pakistan stance.
