Akshay Kumar’s Bhooth Bangla is doing outstanding business at the box office. However, even as the makers enjoy the film’s steady run in theatres, they have been accused of not clearing vendors’ dues. Backed by Ekta Kapoor and her banner Balaji Motion Pictures, several vendors have alleged that the makers failed to clear pending payments. According to a report by Mid-day, Ekta Kapoor’s production company owes nearly Rs 30 lakh in unpaid fees. The reports of non-payment surfaced shortly after Kapoor thanked Priyadarshan for delivering the biggest hit of her career, after the film crossed the Rs 200 crore mark at the box office. Dishearten with the non-payment, the vendors have been waiting for almost six months for their dues to be cleared. Speaking to the publication, one vendor shared over the non-payment of Rs 30 lakh. "Payments are getting stuck for months. Once the film releases, it becomes difficult to get the money out. The 90-day invoice clearance has become a thing of the past," said the vendor. Another vendor, who is allegedly waiting to receive Rs 18 lakh, said that delayed payments are becoming a common issue in the industry. On the worsening situation, a crew member said,"Top talent and key vendors are prioritised when it comes to payment. The crew is asked to wait." However, Balaji Telefilms Limited denied of any non-payments. In a statement, they said,"Balaji Telefilms Limited has fulfilled all its contractual payment obligations in relation to various projects undertaken by the company." Before Bhooth Bangla, the issue of non-payment had also made headlines when the makers of Tu Yaa Main faced similar accusations. A man named Nikhil Pai, who worked as the second camera operator, had asked producer Aanand L Rai’s Colour Yellow Productions to clear pending bills. Tagged producer Colour Yellow Productions on Instagram Stories, he wrote, "Congratulations on the theatre and Netflix release. Please clear the invoices. It's beyond due... if you reply to calls and emails that would be much appreciated." The thriller starring Adarsh Gourav and Shanaya Kapoor, released in theatres on February 13 before it was released on Netflix in India.

Actor Adarsh Gourav is all set to take a significant step forward in his musical journey. The actor will be recording four original tracks for his debut Extended Play (EP), scheduled for release later this year. As part of this exciting new chapter, Adarsh will be immersing himself in the recording process.

A trained classical singer, Adarsh has always shared a deep-rooted connection with music alongside his acting career. He recently showcased his vocal abilities in his film Tu Yaa Main, where his singing received encouraging responses from audiences. Over the years, he has also performed as a singer at several live events and concerts, including a recent appearance at Lollapalooza, further establishing his presence as a multifaceted performer.

The upcoming EP will feature four independent tracks, allowing Adarsh to explore his musical identity more freely while experimenting with different sounds and styles. The project marks a natural progression for the actor, who has been steadily building his musical repertoire.

Sharing his thoughts on this new venture, Adarsh Gourav said, “Music has always been a very personal and important part of my life. While acting happened professionally first, singing has been something I’ve been deeply connected to for as long as I can remember. After the kind of love I received for my music in Tu Yaa Main and performing live, I felt ready to take that step forward. This EP is really special because it’s entirely my own space as an artist. I’m heading to Goa to record these songs in an environment that allows me to disconnect from the noise and truly focus on the music. Each track comes from a very honest place, and I’m excited to explore different sounds, collaborate with interesting people, and slowly discover what my voice represents as a musician. We have all heard him sing and now Adarsh Gourav is officially making his debut as a singer. The actor will be recording four original tracks for his debut Extended Play (EP), scheduled for release later in 2026.

It’s both exciting and a little vulnerable, but that’s what makes it meaningful.” Also read: Tu Yaa Main review: Bejoy Nambiar's directorial blends passion and suspense perfectly in this edge-of-the-seat ride With this musical milestone, Adarsh Gourav continues to evolve as a versatile artist, seamlessly blending performance and passion as he prepares to present a more personal side of his creativity to audiences.

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, the daughter of Rishi and Neetu Kapoor, is the latest Kapoor to make her debut in films. Riddhima will be seen making her acting debut in a film called Daadi Ki Shaadi, which features her mother in the lead. Riddhima, at 45, is the oldest debutant in the Kapoor family. The Delhi-based jewellery designer made his OTT debut in 2024 on the reality show Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. Riddhima has admitted that her acting debut is special in more ways than one, as she also gets to share screen space with her teenage daughter, Samara.

Riddhima on making her acting debut at 45

In an interview with the Indian Express, Riddhima opened up about facing the camera on a film set for the first time last year at the age of 45. She also spoke about her daughter Samara’s brief appearance in the film.

“It truly feels surreal and deeply emotional. There’s a sense of everything coming full circle. I know my father is always with me, blessing me in anything and everything that I choose to do. That thought gives me a lot of strength and comfort… Honestly, the biggest challenge was stepping into an entirely new world at this stage of life. There’s a certain vulnerability in starting fresh, but also a lot of excitement at the same time,” Riddhima said.

Riddhima is married to Delhi-based businessman Bharat Sahni.

Riddhima revealed that while shooting for the wedding comedy, she left her daughter alone at their New Delhi home for the first time since Rishi’s cancer treatment in New York in 2019.

The film features the three generations of Kapoor women- Neetu, Riddhima and Samara- in a song called Senti. While Samara is comfortable around the paparazzi, Riddhima isn’t sure yet if their acting stint in Daadi Ki Shaadi would translate in a full-time acting career in the near future.

Talking about her daughter, she said, “It’s a small but very sweet appearance in the song. As a mother, it’s such a proud and emotional moment to see your child on screen.”

Riddhima recalled that it was Karan Johar who made her face the camera for the first time in his popular reality show Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives in 2024.
