Early reviews have hailed Homebound as stunning, with many calling it another masterpiece by Neeraj Ghaywan, following his acclaimed Masaan.

Critic Sidhant Adlakha called the movie 'excellent’ in his review for Variety. ''The most riveting turns in “Homebound” are distinctly personal. But given the movie’s careful construction, they radiate outwards and latch on to systemic failings with a sense of righteousness. It’s a film of great tragedy, but one so rooted in beating humanity that you can’t help but be left furious, in addition to teary-eyed, '' he wrote.

Elizabeth Kerr of Screen International called the movie,''empathetic Indian drama.'' ''Chandan’s casual attempt to avoid revealing his surname to a student they meet at the train station, Sudha Bharti (Janhvi Kapoor) – and therefore indicating his caste – is nicely underplayed. Khatter buries Mohammed’s fury at being asked to produce residency papers and a clean police record for a sales job, but the fight between yelling and remaining silent is palpable.'' Kerr wrote.

Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter's Homebound has earned a lot of praise from critics and the audience alike at the film festivals. The movie is set to hit the theatres soon, here's when it will release in theatres.

Homebound release: When and where to watch After being screened at international festivals, the movie will be released in theatres worldwide on September 26. Music icon and pop culture trailblazer Badshah once again stamped his mark on the international fashion scene, becoming the first-ever Indian rapper ever to attend New York Fashion Week. Invited by acclaimed designer Alexander Wang who’s dressed the likes of Rihanna, Hailey Bieber, Kylie Jenner, Lady Gaga and Bella Hadid, Badshah front-rowed the much-anticipated Spring 2026 collection at 58 Bowery. This landmark appearance follows Badshah’s triumphant attendance at Paris Men’s Fashion Week for Amiri and coincides with his ongoing sold-out Unfinished Tour across North America. He made a commanding entrance in a look that married effortless street style with elevated couture. Styled by New York–based Shipra Sharma, he stepped onto the scene in a light-blue, washed-denim, oversized zip-up hoodie and matching jeans. The ensemble was anchored by Alexander Wang’s black chunky-sole boots, creating the perfect contrast of rugged and refined. Director Sanjay Gupta, known for films such as Shootout at Wadala, Kaante, has shared shocking details of the Bollywood actor's and their enormous expenses.

For over a year, discussions around the entourage costs of actors in the Hindi film industry have been making headlines, with many highlighting the financial burden producers and makers face due to the enormous fees and lavish demands of Bollywood stars. Now, director Sanjay Gupta has revealed some shocking details about the excessive expenses that filmmakers are forced to bear. Speaking on Cyrus Broacha's podcast, Gupta opened up about the rising costs linked to actors and their teams. Sanjay Gupta on actors demanding six vanity vans Speaking on the podcast, Sanjay revealed that he knows actors who have six vanity vans. “This is real; I’m very serious. The first van is his personal space. In one van, sir sits naked. Next to that is sir’s other van, where he does his makeup and hair. Then, there is the van where sir holds his meetings. The fourth van is his gym, where sir works out.” He further elaborated that such actors are accompanied by a massive entourage that includes a trainer, driver, and even a maintenance man. Don’t they eat together at home? They’re husband and wife, and still they have separate kitchen vans! I’m not exaggerating at all,'' he added. However, Gupta hailed legendary Amitabh Bachchan, revealing he never let the producer pay his staff fees. ''Mr Bachchan never, ever lets you pay his staff. There is nothing. No per-day, no conveyance. He says, ‘It’s my staff; it’s not the producer’s lookout’. His makeup man, his hairstylist, his driver, his boy… That’s Mr Bachchan for you. But now, a team of two or three has become a team of 30,” he shared.
