Ghoomer was a special film for Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher as they delved deep into the psyche of a person who rises from ashes and becomes successful in life when he/she least expects it. Taking Ghoomer to the Indian Film Festival of Alberta, Saiyami Kher was joined by veteran Indian actress Shabana Azmi who came to show her support for the movie.
Even after a year of its theatrical release worldwide, the film continues to resonate with audiences, thanks to its storyline and stellar performances. The screening at the festival was met with a warm response and is a testament of the fandom it enjoys all over the world. Shabana and Saiyami flew to Canada to attend the fest and support their film.
Speaking about Ghoomer being screened at the Indian Film Festival of Alberta, Saiyami Kher told WION, “It feels special that our film is still travelling and being shown even a year after its release. When the film came on OTT, there was a huge splash of love for the movie and now to see the film continue reaching more people, feels very special.”
The brilliant actress added, “It’s the closest film to my heart and the toughest role I have ever taken. So I felt proud to be there with the film.”

With a universal theme, the film has found many takers worldwide.The film had its world premiere as the opening film at the 12th Indian Film Festival of Melbourne on August 12, 2023and was released theatrically in India onAugust 18, 2023.
