Jigra's Vedang Raina knows why onscreen sister Alia Bhatt has a 'huge fan following'

Vedang Raina is ready to bring his all to his latest feature, Jigra alongside Alia Bhatt. Jigra will mark his theatrical debut as his first film, The Archies was a direct-to-OTT release.
As the teaser trailer for Jigrawas released amid high anticipation for the same, Vedang Raina is happy with the amazing responses he’s been receiving both online and offline for the feature. Vedang will be seen playing the role of a sibling to Alia Bhatt’s character. Another highlight of the feature is Vedang’s singing skills which have taken the internet by a major surprise.
Vedang has sung a song in the film and it’s a Gen Z version of an extremely popular number, “Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka” which is a huge risk in itself since the song enjoys cult status.

This is Vedang Raina’s second film. Vedang’s first Hindi film was Zoya Akhtar's The Archies.
Vedang added that collaborating with Alia Bhatt was unique for him. On what he learnt from Alia Bhatt while she sunk deep into her character as a ferocious sister who will go to any lengths to free him from jail, Vedang told WION, “Her unique approach to bringing her characters to life was truly inspiring, and watching her in action taught me so much. I'm grateful for the opportunity to share screen space with her and for everything I learned from the experience.”

Jigra is Vedang Raina's first theatrical release
Jigra is directed by Vasan Bala and will be released in theatres on October 11, 2024. Vasan is best known for his 2018 film Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota.
Jigra is a drama film, which takes on a tale of a sister's love for her brother and how she would do anything to protect him. Jigra is co-produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Alia and her sister Shaheen Bhatt's Eternal Sunshine Productions. The film is co-written by Vasan and Debashish Irengbam.
