India batter Yashasvi Jaiswal is enjoying a blistering start to his Test career and has broken couple of records in the ongoing first Test against Bangladesh - his 10th. Jaiswal scored 56 in the first innings of the Test and managed 10 in the second.

He now has 1094 runs in first 10 Tests - the most for an India batter and also the first Indian to score 1000+ Test runs in first 10 matches. He overtook legendary Sunil Gavaskar for the record who had scored 978 runs in his first 10 Tests.

Jaiswal's tally of runs after the first 10 Tests is the fourth highest in history and only behind Australia's Don Bradman (1,446 runs), West Indies'Everton Weekes (1,125 runs) and George Headley (1,102 runs). Aussie Mark Taylor, who comes after Jaiswal, rounds off top five with 1,088 runs in first 10 Tests.

As for the match, India once again had a poor start in the second innings, losing skipper Rohit Sharma for a team score of 15 runs. Bangladesh took couple of wickets more before the day's play ended, sending back Yashasvi Jaiswal and star batter Virat Kohli as well. India finished day 2 at 81/3, with a total lead of 308 runs.

Earlier, Ravi Ashwin (113) and Ravindra Jadeja's (86) 199-run partnership for the seventh wicket rescued India from 144/6 as they posted 376 in the first innings before bowling out the visitors for a paltry 149.

Jasprit Bumrah led the Indian attack with a four-wicket haul while Jadeja, Mohammed Siraj and Akash Deep picked two each.

India started day 3 on a positive note with Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant continuing from where they had left off on day 2. The duo had added unbeaten 138 runs for the fourth wicket with India being 205/3 and a total lead of 432at lunch.
