Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) on Monday launched the facelifted version of the Alcazar SUV, which was first launched in the country in 2021. The new SUV, which commands a bold and muscular stance, will be available at an introductory starting price of INR 15 lakhs for the petrol variant and INR 16 lakhs for the diesel variant. It will be available in six- and seven-seater configurations with over 70 safety features and nine striking colour options.

The new SUV is more spacious, wider, and taller as compared to the outgoing version. In its completely rejigged exterior look, it now features H-shaped LED DRLs, distinctive quad-beam LED headlamps, new hood design, rugged front bumper and a new skid plate that comes with dark chrome front grille. The SUV rides on R18 diamond cut alloy wheel design along with black painted cladding. The new and unique bridge type roof rail, along with the broader, taller, and modern rear design give the SUV a more elevated stance.

Over at the rear, the SUV features a new spoiler with integrated stop lamp along with the new bumper and skid plate design. The new connected LED taillamps make the SUV look wider and taller from behind. It also comes equipped with new LED turn signal with sequential function.

2024 Hyundai Alcazar interior highlights:

In order to enhance the premium-ness and comfort quotient inside the Alcazar, Hyundai has introduced a dual-tone noble brown and haze navy color plush interiors. It makes the overall design of the vehicle look more spacious and modern. The six-seater variant gets ventilated captain seats in the second row with enhanced cushioning. The folding armrests on the captain seats make their their functioning more flexible while the seven-seater variant offers a seat tumble mechanism for easy ingress/egress to the third row. Other interesting interior features include power seat memory function for driver seat, and eight-way power driver and passenger seat, among other things.

Furthermore, the SUV offers integrated 26.03 cm (10.25") HD infotainment and 26.03 cm (10.25") digital cluster. There is an in-built JioSaavn app for music streaming with one-year complimentary subscription as well as in-built navigation and multi-language
Ul display. The SUV also offers Dual-zone Automatic Climate Control (DATC) with touch type AC control panel and ambient lighting.

2024 Hyundai Alcazar connectivity features:

The facelifted Alcazar offers 70+ Bluelink connected car features along with smartwatch and smart phone connectivity. It also incorporates 270+ embedded VR commands with Hinglish and 135 Hindi voice commands. The vehicle further features 10 ambient sounds of nature. Other connectivity features include the Digital Key with NFC technology. To use this functionality, the user will simply need to touch their smartphone or smartwatch against the door handle to effortlessly lock and unlock the vehicle. The owner can share the Digital Key with upto three different users or up to seven linked devices at a time.

2024 Hyundai Alcazar engine highlights:

The new Hyundai Alcazar's 1.5 l Turbo GDi Petrol engine delivers 117.5 kW (160 PS) Max Power and 253 Nm
(25.8 kgm) Max Torque. It is available with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT transmission. The 1.5 l U2 CRDi Diesel engine offers 85 kW (116 PS) Max Power and 250 Nm (25.5 kgm) Max Torque, paired with both 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions. The vehicle comes equipped with three drive modes - Normal, Eco, and Sport and three traction modes - Snow, Mud, and Sand.

2024 Hyundai Alcazar safety highlights:

Hyundai offers 70+ total safety features on the new Alcazar including the Level 2 ADAS with 19 attributes like Smart Cruise Control, Surround View Monitor (SVM), Blind Spot View Monitor (BVM), Forward Collison Warning & Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Driver Attention Warning and others. A total of 40 safety features are standard across all variants including six airbags, Hill-Start Assist Control, Electronic Stability Control, Vehicle Stability Management, all four disc brakes and
Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (Highline).
