Ferrari and Pirelli announce new tyres for the Enzo Ferrari supercar

The centrepiece of this exciting release is the all-new P Zero Corsa System tyre for the Enzo Ferrari. Developed and tested at Ferrari's Fiorano track, this tyre maintains the original size and aspect ratio but utilises cutting-edge materials and technology to deliver exceptional grip, performance, and safety that matches modern expectations. Available in the original 245/35 R19 (front) and 345/35 R19 (rear) sizes, the P Zero Corsa System features directional and asymmetric tread patterns to combat aquaplaning.

This dedication to classic Ferraris extends beyond the Enzo. Pirelli has received Ferrari's official approval for the use of P Zero and P Zero Corsa System tyres in the Collezione range, already offered as aftermarket products for the F40 and F50. The F40, a 1987 high-performance marvel, was the first car to be equipped with the then-new Pirelli P Zero tyre. Pirelli has introduced an updated version of this historic tyre, meticulously crafted in the original sizes of 245/40 R17 (front) and 335/35 R17 (rear), featuring period-correct lettering on the sidewalls.

The 1995 Ferrari F50 also benefits from the Collezione range. The P Zero Corsa System tyres for this iconic car, sized 245/35 R18 (front) and 335/30 R18 (rear), were rigorously tested at Fiorano to ensure they deliver handling characteristics and a feel that stays true to the original tyres.

Pirelli's commitment to preserving the legacy of these Prancing Horse masterpieces doesn't stop there. They are currently developing a tyre specifically for the 1984 GTO, a car celebrated by Ferrari with a dedicated "Legacy Tour" this October. The chosen tyre is the P7 Cinturato, a tyre born from Pirelli's World Rally Championship experience in 1974 and launched on production sports cars in 1976. This historically significant tyre, known for being the first modern tyre with a low aspect ratio for enhanced handling, will be available in the original sizes (225/50 R16 front and 265/50 R16 rear) and will maintain its period-correct look while benefiting from modern materials and construction techniques.

With the official approval of these replacement tyres, Ferrari and Pirelli demonstrate their commitment to preserving the driving experience and safety of these legendary models for their passionate owners. This ensures that these automotive icons can continue to grace the roads for years to come.
