EA has chosen locations that are situated in areas with a higher density of charging options, ensuring that EV owners with lower-range vehicles are not disproportionately affected by the new policy.

At the heart of this initiative is the goal to significantly reduce waiting times for EV owners seeking to charge their vehicles. EA's decision stems from the observation that charging times increase substantially when batteries approach full capacity, particularly in the 90-100% range. By limiting the maximum charge to 85%, the company aims to keep charging sessions shorter and more efficient, allowing more drivers to access the charging stations throughout the day.

Under the new system, charging sessions will automatically terminate once a vehicle reaches the 85% threshold.
