A violent altercation at Young Park in Las Cruces, New Mexico, late Friday night claimed the lives of three and wounded 15 others.
The incident occurred around 10 pm local time, when an unauthorized car show, which had attracted a crowd of approximately 200 people, suddenly turned violent.
Emergency responders swiftly arrived at the scene, where police and firefighters provided immediate medical attention to gunshot victims, whose ages spanned from 16 to 36. While some individuals received on-site treatment, others were rushed to nearby hospitals for further care.&nbsp;
Police discovered approximately 50-60 handgun shell casings scattered throughout a significant area of Young Park, indicating an intense and widespread exchange of gunfire, Las Cruces Police Chief Jeremy Story said, according to the Associated Press.
The presence of numerous shell casings implied that multiple shooters and firearms were involved in the violent clash between two groups, which had an "ill will" towards each other. Several other bystanders were caught in the crossfire, according to Chief Story.
The probe is backed by New Mexico State Police, the Dona Ana County Sheriff's Office, the FBI, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Seven people were treated on-site, including the three fatalities, while 11 others were transported to nearby hospitals, including the University Medical Center of El Paso, for further treatment.
&ldquo;This horrendous, senseless act is a stark reminder of the blatant disregard people in New Mexico have for the rule of law and order,&rdquo; Story said as he vowed to find the perpetrators.
"We will hold them accountable to the criminal justice system,&rdquo; he said.
In a social media post, Las Cruces City Councillor and Mayor Pro Tem Johana Bencomo expressed condolence on the loss of lives in the incident.

An investigation has found that rape culture exists in over 1,600 primary schools across the UK and Ireland, where students aged five to 11 have anonymously shared allegations of sexual violence and harassment. These reports include incidents of inappropriate behaviour, such as sexual harassment and physical assault.
The findings also revealed that almost half of children under seven are exhibiting signs of misogynistic behaviour, with "misogynistic rhetoric and harmful gender norms" present from as early as nursery age. Furthermore, over 60 per cent of teachers reported that children under nine had been exposed to pornography.

<h2>Alarming testimonies</h2>
One 12-year-old wrote, "I was 10 years old, walking to school when a car pulled up. Three teenage boys asked me to get in. I wasn&rsquo;t stupid; I said no, but one of them grabbed my wrist. I wish I could say I fought back, but I was too scared."
Several anonymous accounts highlight the severity of the problem. One testimony described how, at five years old, a child was physically assaulted by another student. "A five-year-old boy started calling me beautiful and sexy. He followed me into the toilets and smashed my head against the sink," the victim wrote.
Despite telling her mother, the school dismissed it as "just playing." The assaults continued, and the boy was never expelled.

Lebanon warns of ‘new war’ after Israel’s retaliatory attacks kill two

The pyramids of Giza, built in Egypt 4,500 years ago, continue to surprise people even today. Archaeologists have now found an entire city underneath the pyramids. They say that the city spans more than 6,500 feet, and is 10 times larger than the pyramids. The claim has been made by researchers from Italy and Scotland. However, it is a claim that several experts were quick to quash.
The researchers used a technology similar to sonar radar to determine what lies beneath the ground. As part of the study, the data was used to create high-resolution images of the region deep within the ground right under the historic pyramids.&nbsp;
The scientists released a paper which is yet to be peer-reviewed and detailed the findings in a press release. They say that they found eight vertical cylinder-shaped structures extending more than 2,100 feet below the pyramid, besides more unknown structures 4,000 feet deeper.

Corrado Malanga, from Italy's University of Pisa, and Filippo Biondi from the University of Strathclyde in Scotland worked together to look inside the ground and claim to have found the structures that could rewrite Egypt's history.
Nicole Ciccolo, the project's spokesperson, said, "A vast underground city has been discovered beneath the pyramids. The groundbreaking study has redefined the boundaries of satellite data analysis and archaeological exploration."
<h2>Experts raise doubt over claim of city under pyramids</h2>
However, several experts do not believe this is true since according to them, the technology cannot look that deep into the ground. Professor Lawrence Conyers, a radar expert at the University of Denver who focuses on archaeology, told DailyMail.com that the claim of the existence of a city under the pyramids is "a huge exaggeration".

The woman, surnamed Pi, lives in Jinan, Shandong province, said that the electricity supply to her flat was cut off on March 11. When she enquired, her residential community&rsquo;s property management company told her that she could not pay her electricity bill before she paid her outstanding dues. Only then will she get her power back on, she was told.

The staff then took the money and counted 6,000 coins over three hours and Pi remained in their office the entire time to keep an eye on them. Her power was later restored.

But they are so proactive in asking us to pay the fees," she said.
