A large passenger plane carrying 61people crashed in Vinhedo, Brazil on Friday (Aug 9), as per reports. Voepass Flight 2283 was heading to Sao Paulo from Cascavel and was scheduled to reach the destination at 1:40 pm (local time). All those inside the aircraft died.

Sao Paulo's state fire brigade confirmed that the plane had crashed in Vinhedo and seven crewwere rushed to the accident site.
FlightAware reported that the aircraft was ATR ATR-72 (twin-turboprop).
Footage aired by Brazil's TV GloboNews showed a large area engulfed in flames, with smoke billowing from what appeared to be the plane's fuselage. Another video making rounds on social media showsthe aircraft spiralling downward vertically before crashing.
City officials at Valinhos, near Vinhedo, said a home in the local condominium complex had been damaged after the plane crashed into its backyard. None of the residents were hurt.
Some aviation experts speculatedthat ice had built up on the plane or it had experienced engine failure, but investigators said it was too early to determine the cause of the crash.
Speaking at an event, President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva asked for a minute of silence for the victims of the crash, adding that all on board were presumed dead.
The airline in a statement said it couldn't provide any reason for the crash.
