An Irish lawyer who was jailed for spitting at a flight attendant of Air India during a racist, foul-mouthed tirade has been found dead in England.
The body of Simone Burns, 50, was discovered at Beachy Head in Sussex just days after she was released from Bronzefield women's prison.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and the next of kin have been informed. The matter has been passed to the coroner’s officer," said police officials.
Last year, the international human rights lawyer was caught on camera making abusive rants at Air India crew after she was refused alcohol on a flight from Mumbai to London.
In April 2019, Burns was sentenced to jail for six months in the UK for the incident.

Simone Burns was described as "drunk and obnoxious" during a hearing at Isleworth Crown Court in London, where it emerged that she also spat at a flight attendant during her foul-mouthed racist tirade.
Burns, born in Northern Ireland and living in Hove in England, was also ordered to pay 300 pounds compensation to the person she assaulted.
