After the border clash between India and China, the US State Department said that both sides have "expressed desire to de-escalate and we support a peaceful resolution of the current situation."



The coronavirus pandemic has killed more Americans than in World War I. The country reported 740 new deaths on Tuesday, as per tally by Johns Hopkins University. 


For patients on ventilators, the treatment was shown to reduce mortality by about one third, and for patients requiring only oxygen, mortality was cut by about one fifth


The new cases have raised fears of a second wave of infections as China had largely brought its domestic outbreak under control.
