Mario is getting its own encyclopedia in English

The encyclopedia will chronicle the 30-year-long eventful journey of Super Mario from 1985 to 2015.
Mario is not just a video game character, he is a virtual friend many of us grew up with. It wasn't just him who used to be happy on jumping to the top of the flagpole, we would feel a victory too.
His challenges weren't just him, we would literally leave everything to help him fight giant turtles and other odds.
Mario is a trend that many of us have lived and followed over the years.
The Mario fever is so prevalent that even Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe decided to attend the closing ceremony of 2016 Summer Olympics, dressed as Mario.

The fact is that there has always been some development around Mario at regular intervals to attract fans. It was only recently when the game's developer Nintendo released a mobile-based Super Mario game to cash in on the growing smartphone market.

And now, another big release is on its way. It's not a game, but a Super Mario encyclopedia.
The encyclopedia will chronicle the 30-year-long eventful journey of Super Mario from 1985 to 2015. The book is already up for pre-orders on amazon.com for US $40. It will be released on October 23, says Amazon.

The Mario encyclopedia is already available in Japanese and contains 256 pages. Since the English version is a translation of a 2015 encylopedia, it will miss the latest Super Mario odyssey.
