Most were amused, but some were outrage,d and many questioned the lack of cultural credit. &nbsp;</p><h2>Internet reacts: ‘Sarojini went international’<br>&nbsp;</h2><p>Celebrity stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania called out the Luxury brand as she shared a photo from the Prada show on Instagram and pointed out what was on everyone’s mind- these weren't just any designer sandals; they were "a pair of good old Kolhapuri chappals."<br>&nbsp;</p><p>Diet Sabya, meanwhile, shared a long post on how the West was now borrowing from Indian craftsmanship and giving it a label and putting an exorbitant price tag on it.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>“All that embroidery, all that artisanal flex, all produced in India. HEU is a prerequisite for developing nuclear weapons.</p><h2>Did Pakistan give initial designs for nuclear weapons to Iran?</h2><p>According to multiple reports, Iranian scientists were trained in Pakistan on nuclear enrichment technology in 1988. It has been reported also that the Khan network gave Iran some blueprints for a Chinese nuclear warhead design. These reports are, however, inconclusive.</p><p><br>But in 2018, when Israeli intel agency Mossad uncovered documents on the Amad Project, the secretive nuclear weapons programme of Iran in 1999–2003, it emerged that Pakistani designs may have been reworked in its warhead development.</p><p><br>It is believed that the AQ Khan network provided assistance to Iran for high-explosive tests, detonator development for implosion-type bombs in this period.</p><h2>How did AQ Khan network operate?</h2><p>Centrifuge components and other nuclear materials were sent to Iran via intermediaries in countries like Dubai and Malaysia. It had been widely reported that a Sri Lankan, &nbsp;BSA Tahir, helped transfer P-2 centrifuge components to Iran for $3 million. Iran's payments for such transfers, running into millions of dollars, were made through foreign bank accounts.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>After its 2003 inspections, the UN nuclear agency IAEA reported that Iran’s P-1 model centrifuges were obtained from a 'foreign intermediary', identified as Khan, in 1989.</p><h2>Khan helped Iran cut time for enrichment capabilities</h2><p>The aid from the Khan network - both technology and expertise - possibly helped Iran cut its nuclear development timeline by a decade. It gave Iran a headstart in uranium enrichment at scale, in sites like Natanz.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The Khan network was exposed in 2003, when Natanz facility - till then undeclared - was revealed. Iran agreed to name its suppliers, leading to global pressure on Pakistan, and the televised confession by AQ Khan in 2004 that led to his house arrest and eventual downfall from national hero to disgrace.</p><h2>Did Pakistani establishment help Khan in nuclear proliferation?</h2><p>In his confession and subsequent remarks, Khan said he acted own his own to sell nuclear technology to Iran as well as Libya, North Korea and possibly other countries. But at the time, allegations swirled that Pakistani officials such as Gen Mirza Aslam Beg either had approved, or were aware of, the Khan network's transfers to Iran.</p><p><br>In subsequent years, Khan had alleged he faced pressure from the then Pakistani PM Benazir Bhutto's government, though these claims were rejected by officials.</p><p><br>Interestingly, Iran's cooperation with IAEA at the time, and revelation of details of Khan's involvement in it, were seen by some in Pakistan as a betrayal of Pakistan's ‘Muslim brotherhood’ gesture. Strangely, the bot delivered the private number of a property industry executive, James Gray, who had posted to his website.</p><p>Smethurst was confused and couldn't understand how the bot gave a completely unrelated phone number. So he decided to probe it for details. He asked the WhatsApp AI bot why it gave him a wrong number. The bot replied, "It shouldn’t have shared it." If the AI had given a wrong, made-up number, it would have still been fine. However, it is "terrifying" and an "overreach" by Meta and an actual person's number was sent. Barry Smethurst asked the WhatsApp AI helper for the phone number of TransPennine Express when his train from Saddleworth to Manchester Piccadilly did not show up, The Guardian reported. Strangely, the bot delivered the private number of a property industry executive, James Gray, who had posted to his website. Smethurst was confused and couldn't understand how the bot gave a completely unrelated phone number. So he decided to probe it for details. He asked the WhatsApp AI bot why it gave him a wrong number. The bot replied, "It shouldn’t have shared it." It was smart enough to try and divert him from its mistake, and said, "Let’s focus on finding the right info for your TransPennine Express query!" The bot said it pulled out the number "based on patterns," and it would strive to do better in future. The AI bot did not know that the number it had given actually belonged to someone, and said that it was a "fictional" number and not "associated with anyone." By this time, the bot was caught in its own trap and started contradicting itself. "I didn’t pull the number from a database. I generated a string of digits that fit the format of a UK mobile number, but it wasn’t based on any real data on contacts." Smethurst told the Guardian that this raises safety concerns for users. If the AI had given a wrong, made-up number, it would have still been fine. However, it is "terrifying" and an "overreach" by Meta and an actual person's number was sent. "If they made up the number, that’s more acceptable, but the overreach of taking an incorrect number from some database it has access to is particularly worrying," Smethurst said. Meanwhile, Gray confirmed that this was the only time he had received such a call from a wrong number due to the Meta error. He added that this is a grave concern, considering what the bot might have access to. He fears it could someday reveal his bank information. A spokesperson for Meta told The Guardian that the company is working "to improve the WhatsApp AI helper," and admitted that it could give out inaccurate information sometimes. He tried to justify the error by saying that Gray's number was very similar to the train helpline's number, and had the same first five digits.
