How far are you willing to go for beautiful skin? Well, some of the most bizarre beauty trends include applying semenand menstrual bloodto the face. Now, aBrazilian model and beauty influencer,Débora Peixoto, is going viral for saying that she applies her own poop to her face. She says it has anti-ageing benefits. But beware; this gross beauty trend might cause several health issues.
Posting a video of her routine on Instagram, Débora wrote, "The craziest thing I've done in my life, smear my faeces on the face. Now he doesn't want to be near me, lol, I saw some research about this and decided to try! It worked for me, my skin stopped flaking!"
She claims that using poop as a face mask helps with anti-ageing. The video shows her pulling out a small jar from her fridge. She opens it and applies the contents to her face using a small spoon. Débora then goes on to apply water, to dilute and spread it across her face.
She then puts on a clip on her nose to keep the smell away. Later, she washed it off with a face wash. The video also shows a man in the background who seems to be disgusted by her routine (of course he is).

Doctors absolutely do not recommend applying faecal matter to your face, for any reason whatsoever.
Dr Sophie Momen, a dermatologist at Cadogan Clinic in London, told the New York Post, "Of all the skincare ‘trends’, this is one of the strangest I have ever come across. There is absolutely no scientific benefit to your skin in using faeces as a face mask.”
She advises against this trend, saying that it can cause food poisoning and even viral infections. Your skin can also break out into rashes.
Plastic surgeon Tunc Tiryaki told the New York Post, “Faeces contain a plethora of bacteria, viruses, and parasites, including E. coli, Salmonella, and helminths, which can cause serious infections and diseases."
Meanwhile, people on the internet are not impressed by the disgusting skincare routine.
"Seek therapy to cure the need to be seen, I speak from the heart. Family constellation helps a lot," one user commented.
Slamming her further for seeking attention, another user wrote, "It's gotta be satire for attention."
"Dude, are you sick? I know it's a lie, but even so, are you sick?," another wrote.
Another comment read, "If your skin looks amazing, why do you use filters? I'm shocked, people are reaching extreme."
