Selena Gomez is missing Taylor Swift.

The singer recently shared pictures with her very good friend and fellow artist, Swift, on social media. Selena wrote that she was "kinda missin this one," alongside a throwback selfie of Selena and Taylor chilling in their comfy clothes.

While it might seem like she was referring to her best friend of more than a decade, Selena was actually also referring to one of Tay's cats.

Harry Styles and Taylor Swift had a sweet reunion at the Grammy awards.

The Recording Academy released a video of the two chatting between commercial break.

Taylor created history at the musical night as she secured the 'Album of the year' title for the third year in a row. Meanwhile, Harry also took the Grammy home for Best Pop Solo Performance during the 63rd annual ceremony. Both the crooners dated back in 2012.

The video shows Styles standing on one side of Swift's table as the 'Cardigan' singer leans on the other side, as both indulge in the deep conversation. This was the first time since their breakup that the pop stars were spotted catching up.

Another special thing that attracted everyone's attention was that when it was announced that he had won the Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance for ‘Watermelon Sugar’, Taylor stood up and applauded for her former beau.

I’m so sorry, but I cannot reschedule the shows that we’ve postponed.
After we last told you about Taylor Swift re-recorded hit songs making a chatter at the top charts, the singer is now in news for taking action against an immersive fantasy theme park in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Taylor’s intellectual property management company is taking action against the park after the Utah park filed a lawsuit against the singer.

Named Evermore, the park had sued Taylor Swift for the use of the ‘Evermore’ trademark for the name of her latest album -- ninth studio album that released December 11. In response to that, a new lawsuit has been filed by Taylor Alison Swift (TAS) Rights Management. According to the lawsuit, the Evermore Park willfully used Taylor Swift’s songs without the proper licenses for sometime before filing its lawsuit.

Taylor Swift’s attorneys claim that more than a year before the park filed its lawsuit, TAS had been tipped off that the singer’s songs were being performed and played there without the requisite licenses. In fact, in 2019, the performing rights organization which protects and collects revenue for the works, began informing the park that they were infringing on Swift’s copyrights by playing the songs and provided a contract for legal usage. They sent letters to the park with a draft music license agreement for the songs, asking for the agreement to be signed and returned to BMI’s Nashville location.

These letters were reportedly ignored by Evermore Park and they continued using these songs -- by the park's musician character actors for visitors.

Then n their lawsuit earlier, Evermore Park, which bills itself as providing an immersive experience where performers portray fantasy characters in an interactive world, argued in court papers that it has been the registered owner of the Evermore trademark since 2015.

The park is also reportedly playing, without licenses, the works of Katy Perry, Abba, The Beatles, Billy Joel, Britney Spears, Green Day, Gotye, Journey, Nirvana, Semisonic, Third Eye Blind, Tom Petty, Queen, Weezer and Whitney Houston, among others, according to court papers filed by Swift’s legal team.

Taylor Swift is asking the court to order that the park pay damages and be refused to play her works at the park in the future.

Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn are perfect for each other and are in it for a long haul. A source close to the couple opened up to ET and said that Taylor is ready to protect her relationship at all costs.

"Taylor has gotten more and more comfortable being public with Joe and letting fans in on their romance in a way that she feels is still protecting it. She loves Joe so much and, of course, is not trying to hide their relationship, but she prefers to keep specific details private."

The source adds, "Taylor and Joe are in it for the long haul and totally see a future with each other. They don’t need outside praise or attention and are so fulfilled just being with each other and growing together as a couple."

The singer and the actor have been dating for about four years and appear to be stronger than ever. Just last week, they were photographed holding hands on a rare outing in London, where they are quarantining together. Alwyn and Swift's time spent together in quarantine, meanwhile, has been great for the pair. They even collaborated on her album, Folklore, with the actor -- under the pseudonym William Bowery -- co-writing a number of her songs, among them "Betty" and "Exile."

"He is the one constant in her life that she can truly rely on," ET's source said. "Joe has helped Taylor with her music, inspiring it. She is so grateful for him and in love with him. He is her cheerleader and rock. They have spoken about their future together and they love celebrating the holidays together."

The two even collaborated on Taylor’s album ‘Evermore’.

She loves Joe so much and, of course, is not trying to hide their relationship, but she prefers to keep specific details private." The source adds, "Taylor and Joe are in it for the long haul and totally see a future with each other. They don’t need outside praise or attention and are so fulfilled just being with each other and growing together as a couple." The singer and the actor have been dating for about four years and appear to be stronger than ever. Just last week, they were photographed holding hands on a rare outing in London, where they are quarantining together. Alwyn and Swift's time spent together in quarantine, meanwhile, has been great for the pair. They even collaborated on her album, Folklore, with the actor -- under the pseudonym William Bowery -- co-writing a number of her songs, among them "Betty" and "Exile." "He is the one constant in her life that she can truly rely on," ET's source said. "Joe has helped Taylor with her music, inspiring it. She is so grateful for him and in love with him. He is her cheerleader and rock. They have spoken about their future together and they love celebrating the holidays together." The two even collaborated on Taylor’s album ‘Evermore’. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift is on a career-high as she broke several records with her album ‘Folklore’ and also recently celebrated the release of her surprise album ‘Evermore’. Folklore is her fifth top-selling album of the year in the US, making her the first artist to achieve such a feat. Her previous albums like ‘Lover’, ‘Reputation’ and ‘Fearless’ were top-selling albums of the year.

An international team of nearly 100 scientists was left perplexed after discovering the highest-energy light rays ever observed from the sun which has since created a new puzzle for the solar physicists to solve. The finding was published in Physical Review Letters after a six-year observation by more than 30 institutions across North America, Europe, and Asia.

The discovery

The most powerful blast of energy from the sun discovered was the first ever detection of solar gamma radiation in the teraelectronvolt (TeV) range.

Scientists, since the 1990s have observed that the sun emits many different kinds of high-energy radiation including gamma rays. However, the study published on Thursday showed there is much more type of light, known as gamma rays emitted by the sun at much higher energy levels than previously anticipated.

“The sun is more surprising than we knew,” said Mehr Un Nisa, a postdoctoral research associate and study co-author at Michigan State University. “We thought we had this star figured out, but that’s not the case.”

Notably, there were no correlations between this powerful blast of energy and heightened solar activity, in fact, the sun, as per the findings was pretty calm at the time of the detection but our current models of the sun can’t account for it. Additionally, this type of radiation doesn’t even reach the Earth’s surface but does create “telltale signatures”.

About the HAWC

The groundbreaking observation was made with the High-Altitude Water Cherenkov Observatory (HAWC) which is located on the flanks of the Sierra Negra volcano near Puebla, Mexico at an altitude of about 13,500 feet.

What makes the site of the discovery important is that, unlike other observatories, it works around the clock. “We now have observational techniques that weren't possible a few years ago,” said Nisa.

She added that in this “particular energy regime” other ground-based telescopes couldn’t look at the sun because they only work at night, but this one operates 24/7.

HAWC uses a network of 300 large water tanks, each filled with about 200 metric tonnes of water which is nestled between two dormant volcano peaks in Mexico over 13,000 feet above sea level.

Therefore, from this “vantage point,” the researchers can observe the aftermath of gamma rays that collide with Earth’s atmosphere and by doing so produce high-energy particles called air showers that are imperceptible to the naked eye.

In these interactions, the gamma-ray energy is redistributed into particle fragments and light which are observed by the HAWC.

What was found?

The recent analysis is based on the data collected between 2014 and 2021 and observed emissions ranging between 0.5 and 2.6 TeV from the sun. Notably, among the energy in different wavelengths emitted by the sun, visible light carries energy of about 1 electron volt, compared to the 1 trillion electron volts, or 1 tera electron volt (1 TeV), that was observed by Nisa and her team.

“After looking at six years’ worth of data, out popped this excess of gamma rays,” said the study co-author. “When we first saw it, we were like, ‘We definitely messed this up. The sun cannot be this bright at these energies’,” she added.

Researchers noted that not only was the energy level surprising but so was the fact that they were seeing so much of it. Therefore, for the first time, the team has shown that the energies of the sun's rays extend into the TeV range, up to nearly 10 TeV, which does appear to be the maximum.

Pharrell Williams has something to say on Taylor Swift and Scooter Braun beef over rights of music.

Speaking to Variety on the ongoing battle, Pharrell Williams said, “There’s no other industry out there in the world where a start-up gets off the ground and doesn’t own the trademark — it just doesn’t make sense. It may be legal, but it’s still a crime. If a bank walks away with ownership of a company and the trademark, how much should a creator really be participating? The artist should always have the lion’s share of their creation.”

“It’s really unfortunate, you know. There was room for [Scooter] to make his acquisition because that’s just the way the business is, and I felt for [Taylor] and not being able to be in control of it. There’s a system in place that’s just all wrong. He’s a businessman and he also represents artists, so from his point of view he’s just making an acquisition of something that he felt would be a good investment. But the artist should have the opportunity [to retain ownership], and I don’t know whether she did or she didn’t,” he said. “I just know that the system is wired in ways that is oftentimes not always fair to the creator. I think it should be the norm that the creators retain their rights.”
