The eight teams whose ICC Men`s T20 World Cup campaigns end at that stage will automatically receive USD 70,000 each, a totally of USD 560,000.

The same structure is in place for the first-round victories - with USD 40,000 available to those who win each of the 12 games, amounting to USD 480,000.

The four teams knocked out in the first round will take USD 40,000 each from an overall USD 160,000.

So, the number of unsuccessful appeals per innings for each team has increased to two in the white-ball formats and three in Test matches.

Former BCCI chief selector MSK Prasad expressed his opinions on the Indian squad picked for the upcoming T20 World Cup, which is set to begin from October 17 in the UAE and Oman. Prasad believes that the Virat Kohli-led team could use one more pacer besides the likes of Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.&nbsp;

"It is a decent squad but I feel that they are one fast bowler short actually ...because we are playing the majority of the matches in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, so maybe one more fast bowler could have been handy," said Prasad while speaking to PTI in an interview.&nbsp;

All-rounder Sam Curran has been ruled out of the ICC T20 World Cup with a lower back injury, which he sustained during an Indian Premier League game for Chennai Super Kings, the England &amp; Wales Cricket Board said on Tuesday.

He will fly back to the UK in the next couple of days and will have further scans and a full review later this week by the ECB's medical team.

"Curran complained of back pain after Chennai Super Kings Indian Premier League fixture on Saturday against Rajasthan Royals. Results of the scan revealed the injury," the ECB stated.

Curran's brother, Tom, has been drafted into England's squad for the World Cup. In addition, Surrey's left-arm seamer Reece Topley has been added as a travelling reserve. Topley will join the England party in due course.

He said Rohit should be India's captain in the next two T20 World Cups. "I think (of) Rohit Sharma (as captain) for the next two World Cups," Gavaskar said on the Star Sports show 'Cricket Connected'.

Gavaskar added, "You could say they (World Cups) are back-to-back, one starting in a month and another exactly a year from now. So clearly, yes, you don't want to change too many captains at this particular stage.

"Rohit Sharma would definitely be my choice for captaincy of the Indian team for both these T20 World Cups."&nbsp;

Rohit led India to victory in the Nidahas Trophy T20 tournament and Asia Cup in 2018, which was played in the ODI format.

He is also the most successful captain in the history of IPL with five trophies to his name for the Mumbai Indians.

Gavaskar had previously tossed in another name while commenting on the future leadership role in T20Is as he said that KL Rahul is captaincy material again said that he looks at Rahul for "vice-captain".

He is also the most successful captain in the history of IPL with five trophies to his name for the Mumbai Indians. After Mumbai Indians defeated Punjab Kings by six wickets with an over to spare on Tuesday (September 28), MI's West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard said that ICC T20 World Cup, scheduled to commence this year in October and November, is "irrelevant" at this point of time.&nbsp;

After MI registered their first victory of the UAE leg, Pollard said that he is trying to "stay in the present" and added that why to "deal about the T20 World Cup" now when we're playing the IPL.&nbsp;

"To be honest, I think the World Cup is irrelevant at this point of time. I think we're playing the IPL tournament and as an individual, you should think about the present and not too far ahead, because when you plan too far ahead, there are always other people with bigger plans than you," said Pollard as quoted by IANS.&nbsp;

Although, chances are lesser, but Mumbai Indians are back in playoff contention with the defending champions currently placed at the fifth in the eight-team table and next play Delhi Capitals on Saturday.&nbsp;

"So, with that, it's just a matter of trying to give these guys confidence to show, you know, that they've done it before and they will do it again, or find the problem of what is actually happening and try to find the best solution. So, that's all it could be. You talk about talking in the face and all of that sometimes; you just have to believe the guys," he added.&nbsp;

On being asked about the pitches, Pollard didn't want to get into the debate over the pitches for the T20 World Cup, saying the immediate task was to perform in the IPL.&nbsp;

He added, "As I just said, why deal about the T20 World Cup now when we're playing the IPL, Let's deal with the ones in the present and if this is the condition we have to play in to try to win a tournament then as individuals we need to sort of, adjust. You know people are going off about the pitches and the wickets, but at the end of it you can't just get what you want all the time."

IPL 2021: T20 World Cup is 'irrelevant at this point of time,' says Mumbai Indians all-rounder

Rohit Sharma, India's limited-overs vice-captain, has vowed to take Virat Kohli-led Team India to the T20 World Cup title, which will be held soon after IPL 2021's conclusion in the UAE. Rohit is the only player from the current setup who was also part of the victorious MS Dhoni-led team, who won the inaugural edition in 2007.

Under Dhoni, not many gave India any chance but the spirited Men in Blue beat the likes of Pakistan, England, South Africa and Australia to emerge on top in the inaugural edition.
