The Babar Azam-led Pakistan cricket team will host New Zealand in the series opener of the three-match ODIs on Friday (September 17) at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi. For the unversed, New Zealand will play their first-ever international game on Pakistan soil after a long gap of 18 years. Their last visit to the country was in December 2003.

Without Kane Williamson, Trent Boult, Kyle Jamieson, the Black Caps aren't at their full-strength but Tom Latham & Co. have enough firepower to stun the unpredictable and inconsistent Pakistan line-up. The hosts are coming into the series on the back of a 0-3 whitewash they suffered at the hands of a second-stringed England team in England. On the other hand, Latham & Co. lost 2-3 to Bangladesh in the five T20Is in the Asian country.

Hence, there's plenty to play for both sides in the upcoming three ODIs. The ODIs will be followed up a five-match T20I series, a perfect dress rehearsal for the upcoming T20 World Cup.

New Zealand's cricket squad arrived in Pakistan Saturday for their first tour in 18 years, with batting coach Thilan Samaraweera returning to the country where he was shot in 2009.

Samaraweera was part of the Sri Lankan team that was attacked by militants near the Gadaffi Stadium in Lahore in 2009.

Samaraweera was shot in the left thigh and took three months after surgery to get back on the field. He has been working with the New Zealand team since 2019.

Those attacks led international teams to refuse to tour in Pakistan, forcing them to play in neutral venues in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

New Zealand also had to cut short a tour of Pakistan in 2002, after a bomb blast outside their team hotel in Karachi.

They returned to play five one-day internationals in 2003 -- their last tour of Pakistan.

On Saturday, the New Zealand team was taken to their hotel in a bullet-proof bus.

Stand-in skipper Tom Latham said he and his players were happy to be in Pakistan.

"It's obviously very pleasing for Pakistan as a nation," Latham said.

In the last six years Pakistan have hosted Zimbabwe, South Africa, Bangladesh, the West Indies and Sri Lanka as has security improved in the country.

New Zealand will play three one-day internationals (September 17, 19, 21) in Rawalpindi, and five Twenty20 internationals (September 25, 26, 29, October 1 and 3) in Lahore.

The current New Zealand squad is weakened by the absence of eight of their top players, including skipper Kane Williamson who will be playing in the rescheduled Indian Premier League in the UAE from next week.

"For us, it's just about going there and trying to adapt to conditions," Latham added.

"So, another opportunity for the group and they're all looking forward to it," he added.

Five members of the T20 squad -- Todd Astle, Mark Chapman, Martin Guptill, Daryl Mitchell and Ish Sodhi -- are expected to arrive later on Sunday.

As part of Covid-19 precautions, the series will be played before 25 percent full crowds, all of whom must be vaccinated to attend.

In Washington state, three teachers were awarded $185m in compensation after suing Monsanto for overexposure to fluorescent light materials.

In King county superior court, Friedman Rubin, which represented the teachers, said a jury returned the verdict on Tuesday. They worked at the Sky Valley education centre in Monroe, Washington, and claimed that the fluorescent lighting conducted by their school exposed them to polychlorinated biphenyls, or PCBs, causing brain damage.

Monsanto Co used to manufacture PCBs which are a mixture of chemical compounds that were commonly used to cool and lubricate electrical equipment until they were banned in 1979

The teachers' attorney, Rick Friedman, called it a big step toward holding Monsanto accountable.

Bayer, the company, which acquired Monsanto in 2018, said it disagreed with the decision and may appeal.

This was the first of 22 trials filed by teachers, parents and students from the Sky Valley Education Center.

According to a spokesperson for Bayer, Susan Skiles Lukes, the undisputed evidence, in this case, does not support a conclusion that plaintiffs were exposed to unsafe levels of PCBs at the Sky Valley Education Center (SVEC) or that such exposure could have caused what they claim. He also said that these claims relate to a product Monsanto has not produced for over 40 years.

In a report released in March 2019, the Associated Press reported that millions of ballasts containing PCBs are likely still found in schools, daycare centers, and other settings in the US four decades after they were banned because of cancer-causing concerns in 1979.

Caulk, floor adhesives, ceiling tiles, and even paint from older buildings often contain PCBs, sometimes in levels more than allowed by law.

In a video released by PCB, Umar can be seen apologising to the Pakistan Cricket Board and his fans and said that he learnt his lessons. He also admitted that the period had been ‘very difficult for him’.

“Seventeen months ago, I made a mistake which caused damage to my cricket and career. I learnt a lot during this time and due to that mistake, Pakistan cricket’s reputation suffered badly. I ask for forgiveness from the PCB and from cricket fans around the world,” said Akmal in a video released by the PCB on Wednesday, reported PTI.

“Some people approached me but I was unable to report the same to the anti-corruption unit, due to which I had to face a 12-month ban. I couldn't play cricket despite being a cricketer. I learned a lot during this time and today I confess before all of you that that mistake brought disrepute to Pakistan Cricket,” he added.

“I, Umar Akmal, would like to request all of you, as ambassadors of the sport, to stay away from any suspicious activities. If any suspicious individuals approach you, please report it to the anti-corruption unit in a timely manner so that your record and career remain clean,” Umar gave a message to his fellow cricketers.

According to Akmal, Pakistan will be aware of the conditions in UAE as the Men in Green have played several games in the country.

“Pakistan should have the advantage in the T20 World Cup. We’ve played international cricket for 9 to 10 years in the UAE. That makes Pakistan the most experienced side under the conditions,” Akmal said.

“Not only players from India and Pakistan but from other countries will also benefit going into the T20 World Cup since a lot of them play in both PSL and IPL. Given the conditions in the UAE, Afghanistan can also prove to be a dangerous side, looking at the players that they have. So, it is difficult to pick a favourite for the T20 World Cup,” Akmal said.

Earlier today, tActing ICC CEO Geoff Allardice said: “Our priority is to deliver the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 safely, in full, and in its current window. Whilst we are incredibly disappointed not to be hosting the event in India, the decision gives us the certainty we need to stage the event in a country that is a proven international host of multi-team events in a bio-secure environment. We will work closely with the BCCI, the Emirates Cricket Board, and Oman Cricket to ensure fans can enjoy a wonderful celebration of cricket.”

According to Hasan Ali, Indian opener Rohit Sharma is the toughest batsman he has bowled to. Rohit Sharma has been successful against Pakistan's bowling attack, the prolific opener smashed back to back centuries in the last two ODIs the two teams played against each other.

"There are a lot of batsmen who on their given day can give you a tough time but from what I've closely noticed, the one batsman I feel can give me a tough time it's Rohit Sharma. We saw it during the Asia Cup and as well as the World Cup. During the Champions Trophy, I didn't have much of a chance to bowl to him but I feel that if it's his day, he can hurt a lot. He really troubles me," he said.

Rohit has faced Ali in 87 deliveries, in which the Indian batsman smashed 95 runs and has been dismissed once.

"He has a lot of potential and he can hit you anywhere. He plays the ball late, comes in line of the ball. And the pick-up shot which he plays is not easy. Not everyone can play that and he has this ability," added Ali.

Cricketer-turned commentator Ramiz Raja was not impressed with Pakistan's squads for England and West Indies series. He lashed out at the Pakistan Cricket Board for their selection.

According to Ramiz Raja, PCB is hurting the team by preferring old players over young talents.

"I still don't understand the slotting and the selection of players in Pakistan cricket. That is because you select a team, you announce a lot of uncapped players and it is appreciated because once again, there is an eye on the future. And then you don't play them. It's just like sending an all-decked-up bride back without getting her married. Then you suddenly look back to the recycled players. Not only are they recalled to the team but they are also made to play. They are preferred over the uncapped players," said Ramiz on his YouTube channel.

Former Pakistan skipper took the example of Tabish Khan. He made a debut for the team at the age of 36 years.

"Then, according to the slotting, you announce a player in the Test squad like Salman Ali but you play him in the ODIs next time. So, either the earlier selection wasn't right or this selection isn't. You aren't aware of the quality of the player. It is like you debut a 36 or a 38-year-old (Tabish Khan) in Zimbabwe against a team like Zimbabwe but you don't give a chance to a 22-year-old. I mean I haven't seen this happen anywhere in the world. And then you also free him after the Test debut. It's basically a benefit match for him because you did not give him a Test cap with the future in mind. What kind of thinking and logic is this?" explained Raja.

"See, these (high-performance centres) platforms and centres are meant for age cricket where you bring out the future stars. When you invest big coaches on the future stars, only then your cricket and your system is benefitted and not that the already-established first-class and Test players. If you bring them back, how will you increase the canvas, the scope, and talent pool with this execution and planning? I will say it again, the biggest problem with Pakistan cricket is that their GPS is not set yet about moving forward," concluded Raja.

Haris Sohail gets back to the ODI side, while Imad Wasim is essential for the T20 series. Uncapped adolescent Saud Shakeel, who missed out on the South Africa ODIs because of injury, has been called up for the ODI arrangement. The equivalent goes for Salman Ali Agha, who makes the ODI squad yet makes it to the Test squad.

There are debut openings for 22-year-old Azam Khan, with the young weapon being another section in Pakistan's T20I crew. Veteran spinner Yasir Shah's consideration is dependent upon fitness since he is yet to completely recuperate from the knee injury that sidelined him during the Zimbabwe Tests.

Fakhar Zaman has been held in the T20I crew in the wake of being added as an extra player for the Zimbabwe T20Is. Salman Agha has been called up to the ODI squad as well.

ODI Squad: Babar Azam (captain), Shadab Khan (vice-captain), Abdullah Shafique, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Haider Ali, Haris Rauf, Haris Sohail, Hasan Ali, Imam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Rizwan (wicketkeeper), Salman Ali Agha, Sarfaraz Ahmed (wicketkeeper), Saud Shakeel, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Usman Qadir.

Pakistan's legendary pacer Wasim Akram has come to Mohammed Amir's defence after several former players criticised the left-arm pacer after retiring from Test cricket.

Amir announced his retirement after a fall out with head coach Misbah Ul Haq and bowling coach Waqar Younis. Several former Pakistan players lashed out at the pacer for his decision, however, Akram felt that it was his personal decision and others should not have any problems.

“I still think he should have a place in the Pakistan side. We have three white-ball World Cups in the coming years. I have been saying for a long time that bowlers come in packs. When you have a senior bowler in the pack, he can guide the young bowlers in pressure situations by talking with them. They can have quite an impact by giving them confidence and providing them with options,” Wasim told Cricket Pakistan.

“When I had a senior bowler guiding me as a young bowler, I had Imran bhai and I would ask him before every ball. It gives you that added confidence when a senior bowler tells you to do something. I think that is also why Amir is so important,” he added.

“Amir should ask himself what his plans are for the future. He should ask himself what his personal goals are. He can get any league in the world. He is still one of the top bowlers in world T20 cricket.

“If he retired from Test cricket, by the way, it was his problem. It was his decision. Why are we going against someone because he retired? A player knows about his own body, especially a bowler. Test cricket is not easy. If you haven’t played first-class cricket for five years, then your muscles aren’t used to bowling for that long. Amir should just play his cricket. There is no point to all of this. He said what he had to say and explained his point of view. Now he should just play cricket and enjoy his family life as well,” Akram said.

Cricket- 'Still one of top bowlers in world': Wasim Akram on Mohammad Amir

Wasim Akram is regarded as one of the best skippers in Pakistan. He led his side in 109 ODI matches and enjoyed a decent record with the Men in Green with 66 wins out of the total matches. However, Wasim Akram never coached the national team and he revealed the reason why he doesn't fit to be in the role.

"When you become the coach, you need to give at least 200 to 250 days a year to the team and that's a lot of work. I don't think I can manage so much work away from Pakistan, from my family. And as it is, I spend time with most of the players in the PSL, they all have my number," Akram told Cricket Pakistan in an interview.

Akram also talked about the bad behaviour of the people of Pakistan towards the coaches and seniors in the past years.

"I am not a fool. I keep on hearing and seeing the way people misbehave with their coaches and seniors. Coach isn’t the one playing. The players do that. The coach can only help with planning so if the team loses, I don’t think the coach is not as accountable as we hold him as a nation," Akram said.

"So I'm afraid of that as well, because I don't tolerate misbehaviour. And we are becoming that. I love the people… their enthusiasm and passion for the game, but without the misbehaviour that is shown in social media. It shows what we are."

Misbah-Ul-Haq is currently the head coach of the Pakistan Cricket Team.

Amir has been criticised by several former Pakistan cricketers for his decision to retire from the national side. Shoaib Akhtar has now criticised Mohammed Amir and urged him to "grow up" and said the only way for a player to prove himself is to perform.

"Sometimes you have good days and sometimes you have bad days. Amir should have realised that papa Mickey Arthur will not always be there to safeguard him. Sometimes you have to grow up. I am saying this for Amir. Sometimes you have to grow up. You don’t let it go but you mature enough to realise that the management is not according to my wishes, now I have to raise my performance and level of hard work," Akhtar said to PTV sports.

He compared Amir's situation to that of Mohammad Hafeez. He said: "The management was also against Hafeez. What did Hafeez do that was different? He just made runs and nothing else. He didn’t give the management an envelope full of cash. Amir should have learned from Hafeez."

However, Amir has said that he will still play for Karachi Kings in the remainder of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). And then don the jersey of Kent for the T20 Blast in England.

Ramiz Raja felt that Pakistan should have travelled with new players to Zimbabwe, who could have learnt something even if they lost. Pakistan had a successful tour against Zimbabwe as they cleaned up the hosts in the Test series 2-0 after winning the T20I series 2-1.

"Even if you lose with new players in the side, there is at least a silver lining that you figure out players are capable and those who aren't. You move on and test another player. With old players, who already who know what their value addition (to the team) is," Ramiz Raja said in a YouTube channel called 'The Indian News'.

Ramiz specified the reason behind senior and aged players not featuring in the T20Is.

"As far my understanding goes, I haven't seen a 40-45-year-old player in T20s on the international platform. It makes sense because your reflexes slow down and even if you were a world-class player, your performance drops to 50 percent," Ramiz explained.

He compared Pakistan's senior players with the Indian cricket team's former stalwarts MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar.

"We don't have players of that caliber. For example, MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar, despite being at their 50%, were still very useful. This just reinforces the fear we have about losing matches. For the sake of winning, we are destroying the system," Ramiz opined.

"Move on with new players. It will at least give you a sense of direction. Against Zimbabwe, if you had gone with new players and lost, nobody would have said anything because it could have been an experimental tour. There are very few occasions where you can experiment against an international team. Like I have said earlier, they take one step forward and two steps backward," commented Ramiz.

Raja finally said that poor decisions during the under pressure situation is the reason why youngsters are a long way off.

"When the pressure increases, call back the old players. When the pressure increases, call back the fixers. when the pressure increases, you play an extra wicketkeeper as a middle-order batsman. That's now how teams are built. It just goes to show the state of our system wherein the new players are a long way behind," added Ramiz.

A source in the PCB confirmed that the batsman deposited the fine imposed on him by the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) in February while disposing of cases filed by the batsman and the PCB.

"Umar has deposited the full amount of 4.5 million rupees with the board which means he is now eligible to start the rehab program of the Anti-Corruption code of the board," the source said.

"But practically it will take some time before Akmal can resume his cricket career as his rehab program will take some time since the anti-corruption unit of the PCB is presently busy with the Pakistan Super League matches to be held in Abu Dhabi next month," the source said.

The CAS had rejected Akmal's plea to pay the hefty fine in instalments. It was to allow him to return to cricket after serving a ban since February 2020.

The Pakistan board charged him for two separate breaches of Article 2.4.4. of Anti-Corruption Code in February 2020. Umar is the younger brother of former Pakistan wicket-keeper Kamran Akmal and cousin of current limited-overs captain Babar Azam. Umar has represented Pakistan in 16 Tests, 121 ODIs and 84 T20Is, and was touted as a promising youngster before getting in constant troubles due to his off-field behaviour.

Saeed Ajmal has slammed the left-arm fast bowler Mohammad Amir over his retirement disaster. The 29-year-old had announced his retirement from global cricket a year ago and made it clear he wouldn't make a rebound until the current team's management leaves.

Mohammad Amir has had his issues with bowling coach Waqar Younis and head coach Misbah-ul-Haq. He wants to play for Pakistan, however, accepts the veteran duo didn't back him enough and blamed him for not being focused and committed towards the National team.

In a conversation with Cricket Pakistan, Saeed Ajmal opened up about Mohammad Amir's whole retirement scene.

Despite the fact that Ajmal, in the same way as other others, didn't have the specific subtleties, he trusts Amir shouldn't have spoken the manner in which he did about Misbah and Waqar.

“From what he is saying, it looks like he was dealt unfairly. But I don’t know what happened between him and team management behind the scenes. He is saying that he will only play for Pakistan after Misbah and Waqar leave their post as head coach and bowling coach. Such players suffer exactly this way” - he said.

Ajmal additionally trusts Amir should allow his bowling to do the talking as opposed to giving dubious proclamations, as that would just make his odds of a Pakistan rebound more troublesome.

“It is not right for a player to ask for the removal of a coach. Amir should focus on his performance and cement his place before making such demands.”

PCB Chief Executive Wasim Khan in an official release said: "In today's online discussion, we updated the team owners that the PCB had been advised that the PSL had received approvals from the relevant authorities in the UAE. However, some clarifications on certain exemption requests are still awaited, which are expected at some stage on Thursday."

"The team owners agreed that if we do not receive clarity by Thursday afternoon, then they'll have no other option but to request postponement of the remaining 20 matches. In the meantime, we will continue to liaise with the UAE government and the Emirates Cricket Board as they are equally keen for the event to be held in the UAE," he added.

They are risking the lives of several individuals for their own financial gains. If it was in my hands, I would not take the big risk of organising the remaining PSL matches. If they hold this event and face problems, then who will be responsible," he added.

"We have a system of liking and disliking in our cricket, which is something that is present in the rest of the world as well but seems to be a bit more in our culture. The day things change in our cricket system where more importance is given to skills rather than who a person knows, only then will things improve," Malik was quoted as saying by veteran Pakistan journalist Saj Sadiq in a series of tweets.

"In the recent squad there were many players who Babar wanted to pick, but they weren't selected. Everyone has their opinions but the final decision on selection should be that of the captain because it's he who will fight it out on the ground he with his team", he had added.

"Whatever is in my fate is in the hands of the Almighty and not in any person's control. I will have no regrets if I am not asked to play again, but I would have felt more regret if I had not spoken up on behalf of my fellow cricketers," Malik further said.

"I'm not against Misbah, he was an excellent cricketer and a good human and I respect him a lot. But I feel Misbah needed more time and he should have been asked to coach at the domestic level and then maybe brought in as Pakistan coach.

"I played under many captains who would make their own bold decisions, these were guys like Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Inzamam-ul-Haq & Shahid Afridi. To be a captain & just please others will not work - they will never be happy & you won't last as captain," he signed off.

“Look at the players that India, England and New Zealand are bringing into international cricket. They are ready to play at the highest level as they have done the hard yards and have completed their learning in the domestic and junior systems. Once selected, they show their skills in international cricket which they have already learnt in domestic cricket. Whereas in Pakistan, at the moment, our players are expected to learn from the national coaches while playing international cricket, rather than having already learnt the art of cricket earlier in their careers,” Amir was quoted as saying.

Amir named Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav and Krunal Pandya, who had a brilliant debut in the series against England.

“Look at Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav and Krunal Pandya, they looked ready and primed for international cricket when they made their debuts and did not look to need much advice or coaching at all. They have played several years of domestic cricket and the IPL and that makes their introduction into international cricket much smoother,” Amir said.

The pacer also reminded the PCB, that international cricket is not a place where you 'learn on the job'.

“International cricket isn’t school cricket where you learn on the job. It’s a tough environment where only players who are ready and who have learnt about the game and obtained the necessary skills should be selected. If you want to learn about cricket, do it at the academy or in First-class cricket, don’t come to international cricket underprepared and hope to learn whilst playing for your country. Too often our young players are thrown into international cricket with technical flaws, with issues in their game, in the hope that they will improve. Well, it doesn’t work like that at all and the sooner we realise it, the better it will be,” the former pacer said.

They are currently playing the African side in an away Test series. In terms of rankings, Pakistan stands on fifth, sixth and fourth in Tests, ODIs and T20Is respectively. The Men in Green have failed to leave any impact in ICC Tournaments, they failed to make it to the knockout stages after a disappointing show in the group stages in the 2019 World Cup.

Nadeem Omar, who owns Pakistan Super League franchise Quetta Gladiators urged Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to come up with a financial model that benefits all the stakeholders involved in the T20 league.

In an interview with Cricket Pakistan, Omar said that there must be regular meetings with PSL franchises and the PCB to find a solution for a financial model as soon as possible.

“We are working with PCB on the financial model. PCB needs to understand that we have put our time and money in PSL. What sort of financial model is this, in which one partner is enjoying while others are suffering? This issue can be and should be solved amicably,” said Omar.

“PCB presents certain arguments, which we honestly don’t understand. There is one cake, so PCB needs to decrease their share of that. They need to realize that PSL franchises have made a lot of sacrifices. PCB Chairman Ehsan Mani has assured us that there will be regular meetings from now on, in which we will work on a formula regarding the financial model,” he added.

The Pakistan Super League was halted midway and postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak in the league. Pakistan's cricket board has notified that the remainder of the league with begin in June and will be played in Karachi only.

“If we start blame game, it won’t stop. So blame game won’t benefit anyone. We were maybe 10 per cent to blame and that too because PCB didn’t enforce any rules on us. PCB, as an organising party, was supposed to enforce the rules and they failed to do so,” he said.

“Now the plan is to gather the players and officials till 23 or 24 May, so they can quarantine for six to seven days. The league can start from the first week of June, so we can wind it up in 18 days. This is the only available window for us,” he added.

Former Pakistan skipper Ramiz Raja called Misbah-ul-Haq 'the poor man's MS Dhoni' and urged the Pakistan head coach to adopt modern thinking to guide the team well.

Ramiz Raja compared Misbah's calm nature with that of Captain Cool, however, he said that former Pakistan batsman he has to change and adapt according to the modern demands of the game.

"Misbah's training and upbringing is different. Let me put it this way, he is the poor man's Dhoni. MS was also restrained, no expressions and not emotional. Misbah is also like this but I think now he has to go on modern thinking," Ramiz said in an interview on the Cricket Baaz YouTube channel.

"Misbah has to take a new direction because there is a need to set the GPS right for Pakistan cricket because aggression is in our DNA. I think at times he gets too protective and he gets cagey as soon as we lose a match. But if our products and talent is right we shouldn't be afraid of hiccups and setbacks."

Ramiz requested the board to appoint a chief executive for the Pakistan team and said that the team should stop relying on foreign coaches.

"In the past I could understand we needed foreign coaches because we were young to this field but now we have grown ourselves in this area. "In fact I think there is no need to have permanent coaches with the team for all tours and we should only be appointing specialist coaches as required on tour to tour series to series basis.

"Appointment of coaches should be tour-based and opposition based. Use their expertise for a series and move on rather than carry on with them for a long period."

Shahid Afridi's daughter to get engaged with this Pakistan pacer: Reports

The ongoing Pakistan Super League has been postponed indefinitely due to a coronavirus outbreak. The decision was taken in a meeting between the organising committee and the team owners and management on Thursday due to recent COVID-19 cases reported in the league.

Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar slammed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and urged Prime Minister Imran Khan to look into the matter. He even asked the top courts of the country to take a "very good look at the matter."

"You (PCB) played with the lives of the people and at the same time, you played with the reputation of the country... Where is the Chairman of PCB, he has to be answerable. I request the higher authorities and to the honourable courts to take a very good look at this matter... Where is Mani? Come to the front and answer. You have damaged Pakistan's reputation by ruining PSL. I am asking the higher authorities and the Prime Minister, sir look into this matter. This is an insult to Pakistan and Pakistan cricket," Akhtar said on his YouTube channel.

"It is time for blame-game. But you have to admit that this the responsibility of the medical panel and the bio-secure bubble should have been properly maintained. There should be strict inquiry against the medical panel... The medical panel should not be spared," Akhtar said in the video he posted on his YouTube channel.

"... The medical panel should be punished and I request the higher authorities because they played with the lives of the people... All the blame has been put on Wasim Khan and he has been asked to face everything. Who has brought Wasim Khan? Ehsan Mani (brought him). Where is Mani Sahab? Is this the responsibility of Wasim Khan to answer here? Ehsan Mani should give the answer," he added.

Last month, Peshawar Zalmi skipper Wahab Riaz and coach Daren Sammy breached the coronavirus bubble, however, the board (PCB) allowed the duo to join the side after testing negative for the coronavirus.

"Aren't you (PCB) that smart to book an entire hotel. People are getting married there, getting haircuts. Daren Sammy getting out. I fail to understand, why would you (Javed Afridi) breach the bio-secure bubble. I am asking the same question to Wahab Riaz," Akhtar said.

Akhtar said: "PSL brand got destroyed again just because of the incompetence. And the one's who do not even know how to write a prescription or see X-rays are PCB's doctors. I have witnessed this when I used to play, they (PCB doctors) did not know how to see X-rays. Nothing has changed so far."
