The Pakistan blind cricket team has been denied visa to travel to India for the ongoing Blind Cricket World Cup. In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) claimed that the team could not get clearance from the Ministry of External Affairs in India. This unfortunate incident has left the Pakistan blind cricket team in the lurch,&nbsp;the PBCC said in a statement.

It was highly likely that Pakistan and India would have locked horns in the final of the ongoing World Cup and considering the current form of Green Shirts, Pakistan had high chance to win the World Cup,? the statement added. The tournament is scheduled in India from December 5-17. The PBCC said "it strongly condemns this discriminating act of India as sports should be above regional politics". "Our counterpart Blind Cricket Association in India pleaded with their government for Pakistan's clearance but nothing was heard," the PBCC said.

Pakistan blind cricket team's visa to travel to India for T20 World Cup rejected

Pakistan and England were involved in a riveting first Test, in Rawalpindi, which concluded on Day 5, on Monday (December 05), with&nbsp;Ben Stokes-led English side winning by 74 runs in defence of 343. While Babar Azam &amp; Co. had locked horns with England at the Pindi Cricket Stadium, Hasan Ali made heads turn during a local cricket match. He made the headlines for losing his cool and&nbsp;almost coming to blows with the crowd who kept on mocking and teasing him.

As per&nbsp;reports in the Pakistan media, Hasan was involved in a local match in ArifWala, a city in the Pakpattan district in the Punjab province, on Sunday (December 04) when local fans kept reminding him of his dropped catch in Pakistan's 2021 T20 World Cup semi-final loss at the hands of eventual winners Australia in Dubai. Back then, the 28-year-old was slammed on social media platforms. It seems some fans have still not moved on from the clash and once again taunted the speedster.

After having enough of it all, Hasan lost his composure and engaged in a physical altercation before being dragged&nbsp;back by many present at the venue. Here's the clip which will surely send shockwaves:

Once the No. 1 ODI bowler, Hasan was part of Pakistan's Asia Cup 2022 campaign but didn't make it to the T20 World Cup squad, where the Men in Green lost the final to England. He is not even part of the ongoing Test series between hosts Pakistan and England. Despite his recent struggles, fans should not forget that he was one of Pakistan's&nbsp;top performers in their last ICC triumph during the 2017 Champions Trophy in England and Wales.&nbsp;

While fans can criticise players, they should never cross a limit as was the case in the recent episode with Hasan. After all, he remains an international star and has contributed to the national side's success in the past.

Pakistan has produced some big names in world cricket, especially in the pace department. Shoaib Akhtar is one of the most popular names in the cricketing fraternity who helped Pakistan win several games with his pace and bounce. During his playing days, he troubled many batters and had intense face-offs&nbsp;with some iconic players such as Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara, Steve Waugh, etc.&nbsp;

Akhtar had an action-packed career, full of ups and downs, and ended with a total of 444 international wickets from 46 Tests, 163 ODIs and 15 T20Is. He remains vocal on various aspects of the game to date and recently made a big claim.

Speaking to The Guardian, the 47-year-old asked the interviewer when he was the happiest in life. After getting response from the journo who said, "Erm, I’m not sure. The birth of my child?", Akhtar replied, "Right, increase that by a thousand and it’ll be somewhere near what it feels like to bowl truly fast. If you get a wicket after all that effort, when the ball hits the stumps, the sound of it goes inside your soul and explodes like an atom bomb. That’s true happiness. Every time I turn on the TV, I say: ‘Is there anyone out there who can step up? Please take this record away from me,’ I’ll be the first to fly out and shake them by the hand." He added, "Had I been the fittest guy, I would’ve been the greatest ever."

On England returning to Pakistan after 17 years, Akhtar stated, "It’s fantastic that England are coming back with a strong side for a full-fledged series. It’s been a long 17 years since they played Test cricket in Pakistan back in 2005 … their confidence was skyrocketing but I soon put paid to that!" At that time, Akhtart wreaked havoc and accounted for 17 wickets in three Tests, and Pakistan won the series 2-0.&nbsp;

England's tour of Pakistan is set to kickoff on December 01 with the three-match Test series opener in Rawalpindi. However, with over a dozen of English players unwell due to some virus, the tour opener might be postponed by a day or two. A final decision will be out soon.

'Had I been the fittest guy, I would’ve...': Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar makes big claim

Big revelations continue to tumble out of former Pakistan cricketer Wasim Akram's soon-to-be-released autobiography titled, "Sultan: A Memoir". In the latest excerpt from the book, the speedster said that the current chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and his teammate Ramiz Raja benefitted on the field due to his father's reputation.

Akram recalled a Test match against New Zealand where Raja received preferential treatment because his father was a police commissioner. However, despite receiving the benefit, Raja's performance was not up to par.&nbsp;

“The first over the next day was delivered by Asif Faridi, a local quick; I was thrown the new ball for the second. I was in my fourth over when John Wright, New Zealand's captain, nicked to Ramiz at second slip. For all his batting kill, Ramiz was at slip for reasons of rank, because his father was a commissioner and because he'd attended Aitchison College," Akram wrote in the book.

"He [Raja] dropped more than he caught, frankly,” added Akram.&nbsp;

The autobiography also sheds light on several other controversial aspects of his career and personal life. Akram has admitted to having a drug addiction and that it was in England that he first snorted a line of cocaine.&nbsp;

"Worst of all, I developed a dependence on cocaine. It started innocuously enough when I was offered a line at a party in England; my use grew steadily more serious, to the point that I felt I needed it to function."

'Ramiz Raja was at slip due to his father's rank': Wasim Akram makes another bombshell claim

Pakistan great Wasim Akram has made a big revelation on his former captain Saleem Malik. In his book, the former Pakistan captain Akram said, "He would take advantage of my junior status. He was negative, selfish and treated me like a servant. Babar Azam has been thrown under the bus by some former players for his mediocre form and average captaincy during the recently-concluded T20 World Cup. Though Pakistan did reach the summit clash where they lost to England by five wickets, Babar Azam’s form was a big worry for every Pakistani fans. During the World Cup, Babar scored just 134 runs with just one fifty and two double-digit scores to his name. This was all but worrying for a batsman who has been on the top of the game for a long time now.

Speaking to Samaa TV post the T20 World Cup, Pakistan legend and former captain Shahid Afridi had some words of advice for Babar. Afridi has suggested Babar must step aside from T20I captaincy and instead focus on his batting which could help him reach heights in longer formats.

Besides this, he even suggested Babar should take a tough call and step aside from his PSL franchise Karachi Kings’ captaincy post as well. "Babar was not happy with the management at Karachi Kings as it is. I feel he should take a tough call and quit captaincy in T20 cricket. He should focus on his batting and lead the team in Tests and one-dayers," Afridi said.

However, Afridi insisted that Babar must continue leading the side in Tests and ODIs and even suggested a few names who could potentially replace him as a skipper in T20Is.

"I respect Babar a lot and that's why I don't want him to take the pressure of captaincy in T20 cricket. I want him to focus on his captaincy in longer formats. You do have players like Shadab, Rizwan, and even Shan Masood who can lead the team in the T20 format," Afridi said.

Babar Azam has been thrown under the bus by some former players for his mediocre form and average captaincy during the recently-concluded T20 World Cup. Though Pakistan did reach the summit clash where they lost to England by five wickets, Babar Azam’s form was a big worry for every Pakistani fans.

Sri Lanka's 2009 tour of Pakistan turned Pakistan cricket upside down. During the tour, terrorist attack on SL cricket team's bus left the cricketing fraternity concerned. Post this incident, teams refused to travel to Pakistan and the national team had to play their home games in the UAE.

After the terror incident rocked Pakistan cricket, they had to deal with a lot. Former Pakistan all-rounder and captain Shahid Afridi recently recalled the struggles faced by Pakistan cricket. "Our grounds were turned into wedding halls. We wanted to play on our grounds. It was a difficult period for Pakistan cricket, we were missing our crowd. The people who have worked to make this happen, have put in a lot of effort. The board, the government. They played an important role," Afridi said on Pakistani news channel Samaa TV.

<section>
Afridi further revealed how he used to try to convince players from other countries to come and play in Pakistan while taking part in leagues or country cricket. "We used to convince cricketers outside when we used to go and play in other leagues, county cricket, that through their help we'll be able to bring cricket back in our country. When cricket returned, a good message was sent from Pakistan, that we are sports loving nation and that we want to watch and play cricket on our ground here," the veteran&nbsp;added.

"That difficult period has passed. The teams started touring Pakistan. Some pulled out Australia came, England came. These were things our crowd was missing," Afridi added.

The situation has changed for the good for Pakistan cricket in recent times. In the last five years, several teams such as Australia, West Indies, Sri Lanka, South Africa and England have toured Pakistan. New Zealand, who had pulled out of their tour of Pakistan on the day of their tour opener in 2021 citing security concerns, are also scheduled to tour the Asian country later this year for two Tests and three ODIs.

'Our grounds turned into...': Shahid Afridi on Pakistan cricket's difficult period after 2009 terror attacks

Babar Azam-led Pakistan lost to England in the T20 World Cup 2022 final on November 13 at the iconic MCG, Melbourne. Being asked to bat first, the 2009 winners only managed a paltry 137 for 8 with Sam Curran (3 for 12), Adil Rashid and Chris Jodran shining with the ball for Jos Buttler &amp; Co. In reply, Pakistan pacers tested the English batting line-up but Ben Stokes' 49-ball 52 not out took the 2010 winners past the finish line as they won their second T20 WC title.&nbsp;

After the defeat, many former cricketers have praised Babar &amp; Co. for reaching the final whereas some have also criticised them for failing to win the finale. Amid all this, Pakistan great Javed Miandad shared his take on the presence of foreign players in the dressing room and stated that it leads to uncertainty over the future of certain players; leading&nbsp;to match-fixing incidents. It is to be noted that Matthew Hayden served as the team mentor whereas Shaun Tait was roped in as the bowling coach.&nbsp;

Dwelling&nbsp;on this, Miandad said, "Laao na inko, inse ham log question karenge. Poochein toh sahi ham bhi, batao cricket ke baare me. (Get&nbsp;them to the studio, we will also ask them questions. We are eager&nbsp;to know what they know about cricket)."

What will happen to players who are playing in the current times? They know they don’t have anywhere to go if they don’t perform. Fixing happened because of this very reason. Everyone was scared that their career will be over)."

Hayden had also served as the batting consultant for Team Pakistan in the 2021 T20 WC whereas South Africa's former pacer Vernon Philander was also part of the coaching staff during the last year's edition, in the UAE.

It wil be interesting to see if any of these foreign players react to Miandad's views.

'Fixing happened because of...': Javed Miandad makes glaring remark after Pakistan's T20 WC final loss

Kamran Akmal has landed himself in huge trouble. The veteran keeper-batter's recent remarks on Babar Azam-led Pakistan, following their T20 World Cup 2022 final loss to England, has not been received well as he has been given a legal notice by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Ramiz Raja.&nbsp;It is to be noted that it isn't still&nbsp;clear as to&nbsp;which comment of Akmal has hurt the former Pakistan captain&nbsp;Raja but the board's chairman&nbsp;has taken a strict action and issued a warning to other former cricketers too.&nbsp;

"I don't know exactly what charges they have made against Kamran but apparently the legal notice has been sent because the chairman feels Kamran made defamatory, false and offensive comments in the media about him," a source close to the developments told PTI.

It is reported that more such legal notices will be sent to other former players who often cross their line, on their respective Youtube channels,&nbsp;while criticising the national side's performances.&nbsp;

"Some of them clearly cross the line while criticising the team, management, board and chairman and Ramiz has made it clear he is not going to tolerate anyone running down or defaming Pakistan cricket anymore,” the source further added.

Over the years, the likes of Shoaib Akhtar, Danish Kaneria, Salman Butt, etc. remain vocal on various aspects pertaining to Pakistan cricket and do not mince their words when commenting on the team's performances. However, it seems PCB is in no mood to take all this lightly anymore and will take stern actions if any comment is deemed&nbsp;defamatory, offensive, personal, false and damaging to Pakistan cricket.

Pakistan lost the T20 World Cup 2022 final to England by five wickets. Being asked to bat first, the Babar Azam-led Men in Green only managed a paltry 137 for 8 in 20 overs with Sam Curran (3 for 12), Adil Rashid and Chris Jordan being among wickets. In reply, England were made to work hard for their runs but Ben Stokes' 49-ball 52 not out took Jos Buttler &amp; Co. past the finish line with five wickets to spare.

During the run-chase, Shaheen Afridi had started off with a bang by removing Alex Hales with a peach of an inswinger. His last two overs were worth of gold for the 2009 winners and Babar introduced him back into the attack in the 16th over, with 41 to defend off 30 balls. After beating Stokes on the first delivery, Shaheen walked off the field due to injury concerns following the catch he took to dismiss Harry Brooks.&nbsp;

Many have termed Shaheen's departure as a turning point of the match. His over was completed by part-time off-spinner Iftikhar Ahmed, who was taken to the cleaners by Stokes. After Pakistan's loss, a fan blasted Shaheen for walking off the field. Nonetheless, he was slammed by Pakistan great Wasim Akram on live tv.

Reading his harsh comments on Shaheen, Akram lost it and said on A Sports, "This guy... ye jo aap ka question hai, aap ne badtameezi ki hai. Agar tumhe tameez nahi hai na, chhote bade ki... apne player ke saath tum badtameezi kar rahe ho. Koi sharam, koi haya nahi hai. (This question of yours, You have been disrespectful. After the loss, captain Babar said at the post-match presentation, "Congratulations to England, they deserve to be champions and fought well. We felt like home here, got great support at every venue. After Pakistan's win over Bangladesh in their last league stage encounter in the T20 World Cup, the Babar Azam-led Men in Green entered the semi-finals of the mega event in Australia. Having a topsy-turvy ride, the 2009 winners finally made it to the knockouts and will now face 2021 runners-up New Zealand in the first semi-final, on Wednesday (November 09) at the SCG, Sydney.&nbsp;

Post the five-wicket win over Bangladesh, Pakistan Cricket's official handle shared few dressing room videos for fans. While the videos have become an instant hit on the social media platform, former Pakistan skipper Wasim Akram isn't impressed and has asked for such team talks to not be shared online.&nbsp;

"If I was Babar, I would get hold of that guy who is making a video. Sometimes, certain things are personal. I am all for social media, players interacting with their fans and everything. But I have not seen any other team do it in this World Cup? So yeah, the urge to get extra numbers (followers, likes), cut it down. This is too much," Akram said on A-Sports.

"There are recordings taking place all the time. Imagine if I am sitting and not knowing that someone is recording - a message that I want to give my team. Just tell him, 'Guys, relax for two days. Do it some other place but not dressing room," he further pointed out.

Do it some other place but not dressing room," he further pointed out. 🗣️ Skipper @babarazam258 speaks to his team after Pakistan qualify for the #T20WorldCup semifinals 🔊#WeHaveWeWill pic.twitter.com/CkmpJCj6o3 — Pakistan Cricket (@TheRealPCB) November 6, 2022 × 🗣️ Encouraging words from 🇵🇰 team mentor Matthew Hayden following the win over Bangladesh that sealed our spot in the semi-finals 🔊#WeHaveWeWill | #T20WorldCup pic.twitter.com/OgolOwGfGs — Pakistan Cricket (@TheRealPCB) November 6, 2022 × ALSO READ | He hasn't given me confidence: Kapil Dev names star Indian player whose hasn't impressed him so far in T20 WC On the other hand, Akram's former teammate and bowling great Waqar Younis also joined in and mentioned, "I 100 percent agree with you. Whatever happens inside the dressing room, should stay there. This is a problem not just now but earlier as well when a lot of information was leaked to the media - people used to scream, argue, fight. And now you yourself are recording and showing it to the world." On Monday (November 07), the Pakistan cricket team reached Sydney for their upcoming semi-final encounter versus the Kiwis, who topped Group 1. They will feel confident facing the Kane Williamson-led Black Caps after being on a three-match winning streak and having defeated their upcoming opposition during the 2021 T20 WC edition, in the UAE.

If I was Babar, I would...' - Akram unimpressed with PAK's dressing room videos being released online

On Sunday (November 06), Pakistan were given a lifeline in the T20 World Cup 2022 edition as the Netherlands defeated South Africa and eliminated Temba Bavuma &amp; Co.&nbsp;from the semi-finals race. With the Proteas bowing out from the semis race and India ensuring a spot in the last four, Pakistan had a chance to enter the semis with a win over Bangladesh in their last league stage encounter.

Babar Azam-led Men in Green didn't waste the opportunity presented with SA's elimination and went on to beat Bangladesh by five wickets in an intense battle at the Adelaide Oval, Adelaide on Sunday afternoon. After opting to bat first, Shakib Al Hasan-led Bangla Tigers only managed a modest 127 for 8, with Shaheen Afridi returning with 4 for 22. In reply, the one-time winners were stretched a bit but eventually went past the finish line courtesy of Mohammad Haris' 18-ball 31 and Shan Masood's 14-ball 24 not out.

After this win, Pakistan will now face 2021 runners-up New Zealand in the first semi-final at the SCG, Sydney on Wednesday (November 09). After their entry into the semis, team mentor Matthew Hayden shared an inspiring speech for Babar-led Pakistan and issued a warning to other teams. Speaking in a video posted by PCB, Hayden said, "There was that kind of thinking that potentially it was going to be a different result but the moment that Pakistan cricket fires off with intent and starts to reveal its teeth, they become a real threat. There will be no one in this world, in this competition that would want to face us right now, Not One! They thought that they got rid of us. Now, they're not going to get rid of us."

'No one would...': Hayden's inspiring speech goes viral after Pakistan reach T20 WC semi-finals - WATCH

India and Pakistan played&nbsp;a humdinger of a clash in the ongoing Men's T20 World Cup 2022 edition, at the iconic MCG, Melbourne. In front of a jam-packed stadium, Rohit Sharma-led India beat Pakistan on the final ball of the contest to emerge on top by four wickets.

Opting to bowl first, India restricted Babar Azam &amp; Co. for 159 for 8 in 20 overs, with Arshdeep Singh and Hardik Pandya chipping in with three-fers each. In reply, India were tottering at 31 for 4 before Virat Kohli's masterclass (82 not out off 53 balls) and Hardik's 37-ball 40 took India past the finsh line. After the stupendous success of the Indo-Pak face-off, former Aussie all-rounder&nbsp;Simon O’Donnell called the match “extraordinary” and made a big claim.

"That [their T20 World Cup clash] was extraordinary. That game itself is the one that's held the tournament up so far, people keep referring back to it. There were 90,000 at a neutral venue, there was extraordinary emotion, the scenes of the game, the tightness of the game, the pressure," O'Donnell recalled the epic encounter while speaking&nbsp;on SEN Radio.

Discussions are on for India-Pakistan Test in Australia: Former Aussie all-rounder makes big claim

After losing to India on the last ball of their Super 12 opener, Pakistan went down to Zimbabwe as well during the T20 World Cup 2022 on Thursday (October 27) at the Perth Stadium, Perth. Opting to bat first, Craig Ervine-led Zimbabwe posted a modest 130-8, with Md Wasim Jr returning with 4 for 24, and had their back against the wall with Pakistan needing only 43 more off the last 39 balls, with seven wickets in hand.

However, Sikandar Raza (3 for 25) and Brad Evans (2 for 25) brought the African side back into the contest and led them to a famous one-run win&nbsp;on the last ball of the contest. Eventually, Pakistan managed only 129 for 8 despite needing only 3&nbsp;off the last three deliveries. There was no shortage of&nbsp;drama in a pulsating clash which left the Babar Azam-led Pakistani dressing room in disbelief and shock. Here's how the Men in Green dugout reacted to their shocking loss:

Watch: Babar Azam-starrer Pakistan dressing room in sheer disbelief after Zimbabwe's epic T20 WC win

India and Pakistan locked horns in the Super 12 clash at the T20 World Cup 2022 edition, at the MCG, Melbourne, on Sunday (October 23). In front of a jam-packed stadium, the Asian giants produced a nerve-wreaking match which went down to the wire before Virat Kohli's 82 not out took India home on the final ball of the contest.

Opting to bowl first, Rohit Sharma's Team India restricted Pakistan to 159-8. After riding on Arshdeep Singh and Hardik Pandya's three-fers, Indian openers commenced the run-chase but departed soon as Men in Blue were tottering at 31 for 4. Kohli and Hardik got together and stitched a memorable 113-run fifth-wicket stand before the last over saw India needing 16 for victory.&nbsp;

After much drama, R Ashwin hit the winning runs on the final ball as India pulled off a heist versus the Men in Green. The last over saw a waist-high delivery being smacked for a six by Kohli, which was followed by the umpires declaring it a no-ball and a free-hit followed suit. On the free-hit delivery, Md Nawaz clean bowled Kohli but the ball went towards the deep third-man region as the Indians ran three and brought down the equation, amid a lot of discussion between Pakistani players and the on-field&nbsp;umpires.&nbsp;

With two needed off the last two deliveries, India lost Dinesh Karthik. Ashwin came in and Nawaz bowled a wide before his final ball was hit for a four by the off-spinner as India emerged on top. Now, Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja has reacted to the high-voltage clash.

T20 WC: 'This game can be cruel and unfair' - Ramiz Raja reacts after India pull off a heist vs Pakistan

D-day has finally arrived. India and Pakistan are set to lock horns in the fourth game of the Super 12 round at the T20 World Cup on Sunday afternoon (October 23) at the iconic MCG, Melbourne. Both Rohit Sharma's Team India and Babar Azam-led Pakistan will open their respective campaigns in the ICC event by facing each other in the marquee encounter.&nbsp;

Hence, both sides will be up and running from the word go. India and Pakistan met twice this year during the 2022 Asia Cup, where both teams won and lost a game each. Prior to that, Babar &amp; Co. defeated the then Virat Kohli-led Indian team by ten wickets in the 2021 T20 WC, in Dubai. Thus, Pakistan will feel confident facing India whereas Rohit &amp; Co. will be desperate to avoid another World Cup loss versus their arch-rivals.

A lot of talks have been around the weather in Melbourne ahead of the blockbuster face-off. Rain is expected to make its presence felt and there might be a batting shootout between sides in a rain-curtailed encounter at the iconic ground. While it is cloudy in Melbourne at the time of publishing this report, the notorious weather conditions might spring a surprise. A game is expected, by all means, but it might not be a full 40-over contest.

Match prediction for IND vs PAK T20 WC clash: There are high chances of a rain-curtailed game at the MCG. If that happens, expect both captains to bowl first -- which is expected to be the case even if it is a full game -- with more batting ammunition. Given India have more firepower and are less dependent on their top two, an India win can be expected today.

T20 WC 2022, India vs Pakistan match prediction: Will Rohit & Co. avenge their 2021 humiliation at the MCG?

Former Pakistan captain and head coach Misbah-ul-Haq has slammed Pakistan cricket team for their abysmal fitness standards, right before their T20 World Cup campaign in Australia. Misbah, who vacated the head coach position in 2021, has claimed&nbsp;that there haven't been any fitness tests and there is not even any benchmark to follow. Further, he said that the fitness&nbsp;becomes a joke during the domestic season.

"Clear cut, fitness issues are visible, Waqar left four times [as coach], I left once. Players like myself, Shoaib Malik, and Younis Khan were quite into fitness, and we used to push ourselves. Those who push others out of their limitations are not considered good trainers nor good coaches. Their tummies are visible; their lower are heavy and they can't move. The reason behind this is there has not been a single fitness test, there is no benchmark," Misbah was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.

"Fitness test level during domestic season becomes a joke. We used to have arguments that we used to say that the standard used for the international level must be used for the domestic level as well. The responsible people at the domestic level always opposed us related to fitness, "added the former Men in Green captain, who was easily one of the fittest cricketers during his active days at the international level.

Former Pakistan captain and head coach Misbah-ul-Haq has slammed Pakistan cricket team for their abysmal fitness standards, right before their T20 World Cup campaign in Australia. Misbah, who vacated the head coach position in 2021, has claimed that there haven't been any fitness tests and there is not even any benchmark to follow. Further, he said that the fitness becomes a joke during the domestic season. 'Their tummies are visible, lower are heavy': Misbah-ul-Haq unimpressed with Pakistan's fitness standards

Jay Shah, after the BCCI AGM on Tuesday (October 18) in Mumbai, made an explosive claim that India won't be touring to Pakistan for next year's Asia Cup 2023 edition and, hence, the continental tournament will be held at a neutral venue. Since then, the Pakistan cricket fraternity have reacted to Shah's comments, who is also the Asian Cricket Council's (ACC) chief apart from being the BCCI Secretary.&nbsp;

After it was reported that PCB have threatened to boycott the 2023 ODI World Cup, in India, if BCCI doesn't send the Indian team to Pakistan for the continental tournament, their board have finally reacted with a strong statement.

“The PCB has noted with surprise and disappointment of yesterday’s comments made by the ACC President Mr Jay Shah with regards to shifting of next year’s Asia Cup to a neutral venue. The comments were made without any discussion or consultation with the Board of the Asian Cricket Council or the Pakistan Cricket Board (event host) and without any thoughts towards their long-term consequences and implications.

“After having presided over the ACC meeting during which Pakistan was awarded the ACC Asia Cup with an overwhelming support and response from the ACC Board Members, Mr Shah’s statement of shifting of the ACC Asia Cup has clearly been made unilaterally. This is contrary to the philosophy and spirit for which the Asian Cricket Council was formed in September 1983 – a united Asian cricket body to safeguard the interests of the its Members and organise, develop, and promote the game of cricket in Asia," PCB said in a statement.

“The overall impact of such statements have the potential to split the Asian and international cricketing communities, and can impact Pakistan’s visit to India for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 and future ICC Events in India in the 2024-2031 cycle.

“The PCB has to date not received any official communication or clarification from the ACC on the statement of the ACC President. As such, the PCB has now requested the Asian Cricket Council to convene an emergency meeting of its Board as soon as practically possible to discuss this important and sensitive matter," the statement further added.

India and Pakistan only lock horns in multi-nation or ICC tournaments, due to strained political relations between both countries, and do not play bilateral series anymore. 'It can impact Pakistan’s visit...': PCB issues strong statement after Jay Shah's comments on Asia Cup

After the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)'s 91st Annual General Meeting (AGM), on Tuesday (October 18) in Mumbai, the board's Secretary Jay Shah -- who is also the Asian Cricket Council's (ACC) chief -- made a big claim that India won't be travelling to Pakistan for the 2023 Asia Cup and revealed that the continental tournament will be played at a neutral venue. Since then, many former cricketers have reacted to the development whereas Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have reportedly threatened to boycott the 2023 ODI World Cup, to be held in India later next year.

"The Asia Cup 2023 will be held at a neutral venue. I am saying this as ACC President. We [India] can't go there [to Pakistan], they can't come here. In the past also, Asia Cup has been played at a neutral venue," Shah had told the media on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, later in the day, a report suggested that the PCB is set to take a harsh step following BCCI's latest decision over the 2023 Asia Cup. "The PCB is now prepared to take hard decisions and play hardball because it is also aware that the ICC and ACC events will have to face commercial liabilities and losses if Pakistan does not play India in these multi-team events," a senior PCB source told PTI.&nbsp;"The PCB is wondering in what capacity has Jay Shah given the statement that the ACC will look to relocate the Asia Cup to UAE out of Pakistan because the hosting rights were awarded by the executive board of the ACC not the President," &nbsp;the source added.

Amid all the tension between PCB and the BCCI, an old video of Ramiz Raja has resurfaced online, where the former Pakistan captain and board's current chief was talking about Indian cricket's dominance in the sport. During an event last year, Ramiz had pointed out that&nbsp;India is financially running PCB and that it will collapse if the neighbouring country stops the funding&nbsp;"The ICC is a politicised body divided between the Asian and Western blocs and 90 per cent of its revenues are generated from India. It is frightening. In a way India's business houses are running Pakistan cricket and if tomorrow the Indian PM decides he will not allow any funding to Pakistan, this cricket board can collapse," he had said.

'Pakistan cricket can collapse without India' - Ramiz Raja's old video resurfaces online amid PCB-BCCI tension

When Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the 15-man squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022 edition, in Australia, Shoaib Malik's name had no mention. The veteran all-rounder, who captained Pakistan in the inaugural edition in 2007, has played most T20Is for the Men in Green and is a huge name in franchise world to date.

Given Babar Azam &amp; Co.'s middle-order issues, which led them to lose the Asia Cup 2022 final and the home T20Is versus England, many expected Malik to be a part of the squad. His vast experience and understanding of the format would've helped Pakistan. It is to be noted that he was part of their squad in the 2021 T20 World Cup, where he slammed an impressive 18-ball 54 versus Scotland. Nonetheless, he last played for the national side in November 2021 and remains out of the team for the marquee event as well.

Following his T20 WC snub, the 40-year-old Malik finally broke his silence and said on Samaa TV, "Dekhiye mera kaam hain cricket khelna jaha pe bhi mujhe opportunity mile. Select karna, na karna woh team management, selection committee ya PCB ka hain. Mera hain ki jaha opportunity mile main woh avail karne ki koshish karu and acha perform karne ki koshish karu. Malik further opened up on his equation with captain Babar and said, "We have been in touch consistently. Won't pressurise Babar Azam: Shoaib Malik on T20 WC snub, says 'don’t have problems with anybody'

Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) chief Ramiz Raja has lashed out at Babar Azam's&nbsp;critics. Pakistan lost the Asia Cup final, losing to eventual winners Sri Lanka by 23 runs, whereas they conceded the seven-match T20I series, at home, to England 4-3. Meanwhile, Babar Azam -- who held the No. 1 spot in ICC T20I Rankings for long -- was woefully out of form in the Asia Cup, where he amassed only 68 runs in six outings, but returned to form with 285 runs in the England series (second-most overall). However, he is often slammed for his strike rate while batting at the top.

Ramiz, hence, made a bold Virat Kohli statement while slamming&nbsp;Babar's critics. "Previously we used to falter at the very first hurdle. Yes we reached the final and yes we did not play well. But it's okay to have a bad day. But there were others teams as well in the Asia Cup. I mean then India should then have been severely criticised for not reaching the final. But that is not what their fans and media do. I'll tell you...when Virat Kohli scored a century against Afghanistan, they forgot their entire Asia Cup. Will we ever do that? What we say is that Babar Azam scored a ton, but his strike rate was 135 while David Warner's was 147.3. So this is useless,” the former captain said while speaking to Samaa TV during an interview.

'When Kohli scored 100, India forgot their Asia Cup campaign...': Ramiz Raja on Babar Azam's critics

Babar Azam-led Pakistan hosted England in a seven-match T20I series, which concluded on Sunday evening (October 02) in Lahore. In a series that saw the momentum swinging from one side to the other, Jos Buttler-less England emerged on top to win 4-3 after winning the final encounter by 67 runs. Being asked to bat first, Moeen Ali-led England rode on Dawid Malan's 47-ball 78 to post a daunting 209 for 3. In reply, Pakistan's run-chase never got going as they only managed 142 for 8 in their full quota of overs to lose by a convincing margin.

As Babar Azam and Md Rizwan -- the No. 1 batter in the format -- fell soon, Pakistan's chances diminished in a flash. Shan Masood's 43-ball 56 was the only shining aspect for the Men in Green, however, they never pushed England on the back foot in the second half of the encounter, at the Gadaffi Stadium, Lahore. After the clash, former Pakistan spinner Saeed Ajmal lashed out at Pakistan.

Without mincing his words, Ajmal said on his Youtube channel, "They completely outclassed us. Bilkul bachho ki team lag rahi thi Pakistan, itne bechaare lag rahe the. Itna maara hai inn logon ne. Jis tarah ke momentum se vo khelte hain, uss tarah se hamein bhi khelna chahiye. Aap logon ke andar itna khauf hai ki 'hamein select kiya jaayega ya nahi' (Pakistan played&nbsp;like kids. England dominated and hit them to all parts of the ground. We need to play with the same intensity, but most of our players do not play fearlessly in order to not lose their spot in the XI)."

“Fear se aap khelenge toh aap fail honge. Fearless cricket khelenge toh kaamyaab honge. Ek match me achha kheloge aur 10 match bure khel jaate ho, pata nahi kaisi training kar rahe ho. Iss se achha toh vo unfit, mote-mote players khila lo, Sharjeel Khan ko khila lo, Azam Khan ko khila lo (If you play with fear, you will fail. You need to play fearless cricket. These guys play well in one match and then fall flat in the next 10 games. It's better if you play unfit, fat players instead. Sharjeel Khan, Azam Khan can be given a look-in instead)," he added.

At the post-match presentation after the Lahore T20I, skipper Babar said, "It was definitely difficult. With 200 runs on the board, if we lose early wickets, it puts pressure on the other batters. This series was vital for us. We need to improve in the shortest format. I also mentioned at the toss, that we have a good bowling attack. Haris is bowling well, and he is improving everyday. Mohammad Rizwan has been in sensational form for Pakistan. His recent run of form in the shortest format is exceptional. He ended as the highest run-getter in the Asia Cup, with 281 runs in six outings, and has already scored three half-centuries out of four T20Is in Pakistan's ongoing home series versus England.

Rizwan, the No. 1 T20I batter, remains one of the key players for Pakistan as the Men in Green are gearing up for the forthcoming T20 World Cup, in Australia in October-November. However, the wicketkeeper-batter made heads turn in a shocking video which has gone viral. In the viral clip, the 30-year-old was signing autographs for the Pakistan fans on caps and jerseys. Amid all this, someone threw the national flag towards him and the Pakistani opener caught hold of it and signed on it. However, he lifted the Pakistani flag with his feet towards the end of the video:

Talking about Pakistan-England seven-match T20I series, the Karachi leg got over on Sunday (September 25) with the hosts winning the fourth encounter by three runs. Being asked to bat first, Pakistan rode on Rizwan's 88 to post 166 for 4 in 20 overs. In reply, England conceded the game despite needing only five runs off the last ten deliveries, with three wickets in hand. They were dismissed for 163 in 19.2 overs with Haris Rauf and Mohammad Nawaz accounting for three scalps each.

Shaheen Afridi is on recovery mode. The young pacer got injured during the Pakistan-Sri Lanka Tests, in the Island nation, and missed the Asia Cup before flying to London. While Babar Azam-led Men in Green need him fit desperately before the forthcoming T20 World Cup, with Shaheen already named in the 15-man main squad, former Pakistan pacer Aaquib Javed has shared a bizarre advice for the 22-year-old.

“Fast bowlers like Shaheen Afridi are not born every day. My advice to Shaheen Afridi is not to play the upcoming T20 World Cup because Shaheen is more important than this World Cup," Aaqib was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan. Shaheen was one of the key performers for Babar &amp; Co. in last year's T20 WC, held in the UAE. The pacer wreaked havoc with the ball in Men in Green's face-off versus Team India, returning with the Player-of-the-Match award for 3 for 31, and ended the showpiece event with seven scalps at an average of 24.14 and economy rate of 7.04.

Currently, Shaheen is in London&nbsp;for his rehabilitation and will also miss Pakistan's home series versus England, followed by the tri-series in New Zealand (also featuring Bangladesh). "Shaheen Shah Afridi requires uninterrupted, dedicated knee specialist care and London offers some of the best sports medical and rehabilitation facilities in the world. In the best interest of the player, we have decided to send him there," PCB Chief Medical Officer, Dr Najeebullah Soomro shared in a statement released by ICC.&nbsp;

The release further added,&nbsp;"Whilst in London, Shaheen will remain under the supervision of the PCB Medical Advisory Panel, which also comprises London-based Dr Imtiaz Ahmad and Dr Zafar Iqbal. Since 2016, Dr Imtiaz has been the Head of Medical Services at the Queens Park Rangers Football Club, while Dr Zafar is Head of Sports Medicine at the Crystal Palace Football Club since 2015 (having worked previously with Tottenham Hotspur FC, Liverpool FC and Kent County Cricket Club)."

Don't play T20 World Cup: Aaquib Javed's absurd suggestion to Pakistan pacer Shaheen Afridi

On Thursday (September 15), the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced a 15-man squad for Babar Azam-led Men in Green's upcoming T20 World Cup campaign, in Australia from October-November, and the home T20Is versus England, starting on September 20 at Karachi.&nbsp;

Shan Masood, uncapped in this format at the international level, was included in a bid to solve Pakistan's middle-order woes in the run-up to the showpiece event and the left-hander will hope to make a mark instantly in the forthcoming England series. The rest of the squad primarily features the players who featured in the Asia Cup 2022 edition, where Babar &amp; Co. ended as runners-up. Following the squad announcement by PCB chief selector Wasim&nbsp;Mohammad, former pacer Md Amir took a dig at Wasim.

Speaking to the reporters after the squad announcement, PCB chief selector Wasim said, "We have a team that can perform strongly in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022. "These players have performed well since November 2021, and that’s why we have won nine out of our last 13 T20Is. We have invested in these cricketers and it is fair to them that they get the opportunity to show their mettle in the World Cup, an event for which they have been preparing and training hard," he added.

Pakistan will play seven T20Is at home versus England and then fly to New Zealand where they play a tri-series, involving the hosts and Bangladesh before departing for Australia for the T20 WC. In the last edition of the World Cup, Babar &amp; Co. ended as semi-finalists after losing to eventual winners Australia.

'Cheap selection': Md Amir takes a dig at PCB chief selector Wasim after Pakistan announce T20 WC squad

Pakistan announced a 15-man squad for the T20 World Cup on Thursday (September 15). With the mega event set to be held in Australia from next month, Babar Azam &amp; Co. have named a strong squad including Shaheen Afridi. The premier pacer suffered a knee injury during the Sri Lanka Test series and was ruled out of the Asia Cup 2022 edition, where the Men in Green lost the final to Sri Lanka.

Shaheen was present with the Pakistan team and even cheered for them in the stands during their opening clash in the continental tournament, versus arch-rivals India. From there on, he left for London for his rehabilitation programme. Shahid Afridi, Shaheen's future father-in-law, has now made a big claim that the speedster is funding his London stay and hasn't been helped by the Ramiz Raja-led Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Giving insights into the whole situation, Afridi, in an interview with Samma TV, revealed, "When I talk about Shaheen.. that guy went to England on his own. He bought his own ticket; he spent his own money to stay in a hotel. I arranged a doctor for him, then he contacted the doctor. PCB is not doing anything; he is doing that on his own."

"Everything, from coordination to doctors to his hotel room and food expenses, he is paying out of his own pocket. As far as I know, Zakir Khan talked to him 1-2 times, but that was it," the ex-Pakistan captain further added.

Zakir is currently the Director of Cricket for international tours at the PCB. The board, however, rubbished all claims made by Shahid Afridi and shared a statement saying, "The PCB is also pleased to advise and update that Shaheen Shah Afridi is making excellent progress in his rehabilitation in London and is on track to make a full recovery in time for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Australia 2022.

"It goes without saying that the PCB has always been and will continue to be responsible for arranging medical care and rehabilitation of all its players requiring any treatment."

Pakistan locked horns with Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup 2022 edition's final on September 11 at the iconic Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai. Opting to bowl first, Babar Azam &amp; Co. had restricted the Lankans to 58 for 5 before Bhanuka Rajapaksa's 71 and Wanindu Hasaranga's 21-ball 36 propelled their side to a competitive 170 for 6 in 20 overs. In reply, the Men in Green never got going in their run-chase and were dismissed for 147 in their full quota of overs with Pramod Madushan and spin-bowling all-rounder Hasaranga sharing seven scalps in between.

After Pakistan's disappointing loss in the summit clash, which led Dasun Shanaka &amp; Co. to win their sixth Asia Cup title, legendary cricketer Javed Miandad has ripped apart the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for not using his services, along with many other national heroes.&nbsp;

"People like me are literally sitting here. Personally, I don't want anything but use us! I have always kept Pakistan first. You have people here. We don't want money. I'm sure the players will benefit from my presence. I come with a lot of experience. The way they lost, it hurts,” Miandad told&nbsp;Cricket Pakistan.

“It's actually shameful. You have so many people here, where is your nationalism? What Pakistan are you talking about?” Miandad further pointed out. "If I were there, I would have told them to keep wickets in hand and accelerate at the right time. I have experience. But these kids don't know, they just go out there and start hitting. They don't know which bowler to hit, what's the problem and when to stay at the wicket,” said the 1992 World Cup-winning member, who represented the national side in 124 Tests and 233 ODIs.

'Where is your nationalism?' - Javed Miandad tears apart PCB after Pakistan's Asia Cup final loss

Pakistan lost to Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup final on Sunday evening (September 11). Locking horns in the marquee clash, at the iconic Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai, Sri Lanka did the unthinkable by defending a score at the venue -- which is favourable for teams batting second -- to beat Babar Azam &amp; Co. by 23 runs. With this win, the Islanders not only made a strong statement ahead of the T20 World Cup 2022 edition -- from next month in Australia -- but also went on to claim their sixth Asia Cup title overall.

Talking about the contest, Pakistan opted to bowl first and reduced the Lankans to 58 for 5 in 8.5 overs. From thereon, Bhanuka Rajapaksa's 71 and all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga's 21-ball 36 propelled them to a fighting 170 for 6 in 20 overs. In reply, Pakistan only managed 147 all-out in 20 overs with Md Rizwan scoring a 49-ball 55 and Iftikhar Ahmad's 31-ball 32. While the batters failed to get going, Pakistani fielding was also not up to the mark.&nbsp;

Shadab Khan, one of the best fielders in Team Pakistan, dropped Rajapaksa twice. In the 17th over of the Lankan innings, he gave a reprieve to the left-hander and once again dropped him in the next over as well, colliding with Asif Ali as the ball went for a six. He returned with decent bowling figures, 4-0-28-1, but only managed a six-ball 8 during the run-chase. Taking cognizance of his ordinary day on the 22-yard cricket strip, the all-rounder was quick to accept his mistakes and shared a heartfelt note on Twitter.

After the match, Shadab Khan took to Twitter and wrote,&nbsp;"Catches win matches. Sorry, I take responsibility for this loss. I let my team down. Positives for team, @iNaseemShah, @HarisRauf14, @mnawaz94, and the entire bowling attack was great. @iMRizwanPak fought hard. The entire team tried their best. Congratulations to Sri Lanka."

Apart from Shadab, even Md Rizwan was slammed for his unimpressive 49-ball 55-run knock. The right-hander remained Pakistan's highest run-getter but was trolled for not being able to score freely. He ended with a below-par strike rate of 112.24.

At the post-match presentation, Babar said, "Congratulations to Sri Lanka for playing outstanding cricket. We dominated them for the first eight overs, but the partnership that Rajapaska got was amazing. This was a true wicket and it is always nice playing in Dubai. We didn't bat according to our potential. We started well, but we gave away 15-20 extra runs and couldn't finish well. A lot of positives for us to take. In a final, the margin for mistakes is lesser. Our fielding wasn't up to the mark and the batting couldn't finish it off well. But Rizwan, Naseem and Nawaz were positives. Ups and downs will be there, but it would be nicer if we made lesser mistakes."

Pakistan lost to Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup final on Sunday evening (September 11). Locking horns in the marquee clash, at the iconic Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai, Sri Lanka did the unthinkable by defending a score at the venue -- which is favourable for teams batting second -- to beat Babar Azam & Co. by 23 runs. With this win, the Islanders not only made a strong statement ahead of the T20 World Cup 2022 edition -- from next month in Australia -- but also went on to claim their sixth Asia Cup title overall. Talking about the contest, Pakistan opted to bowl first and reduced the Lankans to 58 for 5 in 8.5 overs. From thereon, Bhanuka Rajapaksa's 71 and all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga's 21-ball 36 propelled them to a fighting 170 for 6 in 20 overs. In reply, Pakistan only managed 147 all-out in 20 overs with Md Rizwan scoring a 49-ball 55 and Iftikhar Ahmad's 31-ball 32. While the batters failed to get going, Pakistani fielding was also not up to the mark. After the match, Shadab Khan took to Twitter and wrote, "Catches win matches. Sorry, I take responsibility for this loss. I let my team down. Positives for team, @iNaseemShah, @HarisRauf14, @mnawaz94, and the entire bowling attack was great. @iMRizwanPak fought hard. The entire team tried their best. Congratulations to Sri Lanka." I let my team down: Pakistan star blames himself as Babar Azam & Co. lose to Sri Lanka in Asia Cup final

Pakistan captain Babar Azam can breathe a sigh of relief as a woman named Hamiza Mukhtar from Lahore has withdrawn&nbsp;all her allegations and complaint of sexual exploitation by the Pakistani cricketer. Babar found himself in a spot of bother after an additional Lahore session court ordered police to file a case against Babar following allegations of sexual harassment by Hamiza. However, the woman later withdrew all her allegations while taking back her complaint.

The Pakistani woman, in her complaint, had alleged that Babar had sexually exploited and harassed her after making false promises of marriage while adding that the Pakistan captain has also forced her to undergo an abortion.&nbsp;

Sexual harassment case against Pakistan captain Babar Azam withdrawn

Pakistan were dealt a huge blow when Shaheen Afridi injured himself during the first Test versus Sri Lanka last month. The left-arm pacer suffered a knee injury and, hence, has been ruled out of the forthcoming Asia Cup 2022 edition, set to get underway on August 27&nbsp;in the UAE.

However, an injured Shaheen has travelled to the UAE for the Asian championship with the Babar Azam-led squad. Recently, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) spokesperson opened up in this regard and revealed the reason behind the 22-year-old's presence in the Pakistan squad.

"Babar wanted him to stay with the team. Management wants to closely monitor his injury rehab. He will be staying in Dubai itself with the team," PCB spokesperson confirmed to the local media in Pakistan.

Shaheen won't be taking part in the Asia Cup as he has been ruled out, however, his presence will be handy for Team Pakistan as the two-time winners will hope to win the mega title ahead of the T20 World Cup&nbsp;scheduled in October-November in Australia.&nbsp;

Pakistan will open their campaign versus arch-rivals India&nbsp;on August 28 in Dubai. This will be the first-ever face-off between the two sides following their clash in the 2021 T20 World Cup, where Shaheen's 3/31 helped the Men in Green score their&nbsp;maiden World Cup win over India. Back then, Babar &amp; Co. defeated India by 10 wickets.
