In a recent conversation with Kylie Jenner, Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence has denied all plastic surgery rumours, attributing her timeless appearance to makeup artistry and the natural ageing process. The actress strongly denies undergoing facial procedures, setting the record straight amidst swirling speculations.

Lawrence acknowledges the transformative power of makeup, especially under the guidance of makeup artist Hung Vanngo. Refuting claims of eye surgery, she explains, "I call him a plastic surgeon because everybody is convinced that I had eye surgery."

The plastic surgery rumours gained momentum following Lawrence's appearance at the Dior Fashion Show, where sharp-eyed netizens noted a significant change in her looks. Responding to critics on social media, the Red Sparrow actress refutes allegations of a nose job or lip fillers, attributing her evolved appearance to graceful ageing and weight loss.

"I started at 19, so I get the before and after pictures from when I’m 19 to 30, and I’m like, ‘I grew up. I lost the baby weight in my face, and my face changed because I’m ageing,’" Jennifer asserts, dispelling claims about alterations to her nose while thanking critics for highlighting her facial changes.

Having faced scrutiny since her teenage years, Lawrence finds empathy and support from Jenner, who acknowledges the challenges of public scrutiny. Jenner, who graced the cover of Interview's 2023 Winter Issue, reveals her own experiences with misconceptions about her appearance.

While Jenner admits to getting lip fillers, she echoes Lawrence's sentiments about the unfairness of comparing one's youthful and mature features. "How can you compare my 12-year-old face and say I’ve gotten my jaw shaved and eyelids removed?" Jenner questions, emphasising the impact of makeup and contouring on perceptions.

Both actresses agree on the pressures of constant public scrutiny and the importance of staying true to oneself. Kylie Jenner, now a mother, declares her commitment to authenticity, stating, "I have no intention of changing who I am, especially after becoming a mother."

7 casual outfits from Jennifer Lawrence’s wardrobe

Jennifer Lawrence is clearing the air. The actress recently appeared on the show Watch What Happens Live where she was asked to answer the speculation surrounding Miley Cyrus' song Flowers and asked if, in the song, Miley was referring to her in the gold dress.

Lawrence had worn the same dress to the Hunger Games premiere which she had attended with Miley's ex-husband Liam Hemsworth.

Andy Cohen, the show host, asked Lawrence during the interview, "There was already a lot of talk that the music video was referencing a secret fling that you had with Liam Hemsworth while he was with Miley Cyrus, can you please respond.."

Refuting the rumours, Lawrence said that she would love to clear the air. "Not true. I would love to. Not true. Total rumour. I mean, we all know that me and Liam, like, kissed one time. It was years after they broke up. So I just assume that was, like, a coincidence."

While Miley never openly admitted to referring to Lawrence in the song, she did have a word to share about the dress. Speaking to Vogue once, the singer had said, "The magic of this dress is that Jacob, my director, and Bradley, my stylist, and I—we all came together and we were looking at the treatment and we’re going, ‘Oh, b**ch, I know what you have to wear.’ And I’m like, ‘No, b**ch, I know what I have to wear.’ And he’s like, ‘No, b**ch, I know what you have to wear.’ And then we all hold up our phone and it was the same dress."

Liam and Miley parted ways in 2019 after eight months of marriage. The former couple started dating in 2009 and were together for more than a decade, including eight months of being married.

Jennifer Lawrence addresses rumours of her 'secret fling' with Miley's Cyrus' ex Liam Hemsworth

Did you know Jennifer Lawrence had auditioned for a role in the popular Twilight series but was rejected? Lawrence recently appeared in an episode of The Rewatchables and revealed to host Bill Simmons her experience of auditioning for the 2008 film.

"I auditioned for Twilight," she said. "They turned me down immediately. I didn't even get a callback, but my life would have been totally different."

Twilight may have not worked out for Lawrence, but the actress shot to fame the next year with The Hunger Games and even fetched an Oscar nomination for her role in the 2010 drama Winter's Bone. The two films helped her become an overnight star. Lawrence played Katniss Everdeen in the Hunger Games franchise.

Lawrence seemingly has no hard feelings that Twilight did not work out for her. The actress believes her career would not have turned out that differently if she was cast in Twilight.

While she was part of four Hunger Games movies between 2012 and 2015, she also starred in several other projects to make sure she wasn't known exclusively for playing Katniss. She said that she would have done the same if she starred in Twilight.

"I have to churn out movies in between so that I'm not only known for this franchise," Lawrence told Simmons. "I was still in a franchise, so I was still trying to counteract the franchise-ness and I would still be doing that if I was in Twilight."

The mother of one later explained that she almost did not star in The Hunger Games because she saw the fandom that surrounded Twilight stars, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

"That was just something I never had in mind," Lawrence said of that 'Twilight-level' fame. "I want to do Indies and I wanted to do good films, but I didn't want to be the most famous person on the planet. That's a very different life than what I had pictured for myself."

While Lawrence did not seem to mind missing out on Twilight, she was "devastated" to miss being cast in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. The role went to Mia Wasikowska instead.

"The one thing that really killed me, the only time I’ve ever been truly devastated by losing an audition — because most of the time you’re like, ‘Eh, wasn’t meant to be, move on, what can you do?' — was Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland," Lawrence told Howard Stern in 2018. "That one devastated me."

Lawrence's new movie, No Hard Feelings, is currently in theatres. The next instalment in the Hunger Games franchise, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, hits theatres later in November this year.

In response to this, Jennifer said "I just feel like you kissed John Mayer, but you never kissed me. He's more your type, I guess." "I mean, he is but I'm attracted to you," Cohen said. "I'd love to kiss you, consensually." Lawrence was seen oblivious to the fact that the camera was still rolling, saying, "You have my consent. Is that gonna be on air? Are we doing it now?" Andy Cohen awkwardly started laughing out of nervousness as Lawrence leaned in for a kiss but eventually collected himself and they kissed only a peck while the audience cheered. "Oh my god, thank you!" Cohen said, laughing. "Did it do anything?" Lawrence funnily asked him. During the show, the two discussed a new celebrity romance — Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner. While walking down the stairs at the Palais des Festivals, the 32-year-old lifted her gown, revealing a pair of black flip-flops on her feet. Wondering why it's a bold move?

Well, Cannes famously encourages women to wear high heels on its red carpet. Back in 2015, several attendees were reportedly turned away from attending a premiere of Carol because they were wearing flats.

Although the actress opted for flip-flops for the special screening of Anatomy of a Fall, she changed into red satin heels for another premiere on the same day. Wearing the same gown but different footwear, she attended the premiere of Bread and Roses, a documentary she has backed and produced. The project follows the lives of women living in Afghanistan after the Taliban's resurgence.

Jennifer Lawrence ditches heels for flip-flops for her Cannes look; defies unofficial dress code. Watch!

As the world watched Kabul fall and the Taliban take over in 2021 following the withdrawal of the US troops from Afghanistan, Jennifer Lawrence and producer Justine Ciarrochhi got busy looking for ways to support women in the country.

"Jen's first response was to find an Afghan filmmaker and give them a platform," Ciarrocchi told The Hollywood Reporter.

They eventually found director Sahra Mani whose 2019 documentary A Thousand Girls Like Me looked at a sexually abused woman's quest for justice. The result was the three collaborated on a documentary called Bread and Roses.

On Sunday the documentary about the daily lives of three women after the Taliban's resurgence premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in a special screening. "This film has a message from women in Afghanistan, a soft message; please be their voice who are voiceless under Taliban dictatorship," said Mani at the premiere.

The documentary has been backed by Excellent Cadaver, a production company set up by Lawrence and her producer friend Justine Ciarrocchi.

The director said in an interview on the Cannes website that she wanted to show the reality of how drastically life has changed under the Taliban women, even if filming was difficult. "Now that women can no longer leave the house without the veil, I thought we should tell their stories," she said.

The safety of the camera crews and the people filmed was of top priority, said Mani, who currently lives in France.
"The way in which their lives have changed under the Taliban is an everyday reality for us, it's life under a dictatorship, a cruel reality we cannot ignore."

A trailer for the upcoming bawdy comedy movie No Hard Feelings is here. Starring Jennifer Lawrence, the film is directed by Good Boys helmer Gene Stupnitsky who has also written the film with John Phillips. Maddie (Lawrence) works as an Uber driver who loses her car to the government. She is about to lose her childhood home when she comes across an intriguing job opportunity. A wealthy couple is seeking someone to "date" their introverted 19-year-old son, Percy, before he goes off to college. The date part involves, of course, having sex with him. Since the boy is awkward and socially inept, they are hoping a sexual experience with an actual woman can change that.

However, Maddie is surprised to learn that Percy is not an easy target. You can watch the trailer above. The film certainly looks interesting. It is not super-fresh or innovative as far as such comedy movies go, but it promises a good time. Lawrence has earlier shown she has oodles of comedic talent and she looks perfect in the role. And this is easily her first film that is an out-and-out comedy.

The official synopsis of No Hard Feelings reads, "On the brink of losing her childhood home, Maddie (Lawrence) discovers an intriguing job listing: wealthy helicopter parents looking for someone to “date” their introverted 19-year-old son, Percy, before he leaves for college. To her surprise, Maddie soon discovers the awkward Percy is no sure thing."

No Hard Feelings releases on June 23.

No Hard Feelings trailer: Jennifer Lawrence gets steamy in raunchy comedy. Watch

Jennifer Lawrence is taking her words back. The Oscar-winning actor recently faced backlash after claiming that she was the first female action hero in cinema after she starred in 'The Hunger Games.'

During her appearance on Variety's Actors on Actors, the 32-year-old actress told Viola Davis, "I remember when I was doing Hunger Games, nobody had ever put a woman in the lead of an action movie, because it wouldn’t work, we were told. Girls and boys can both identify with a male lead, but boys cannot identify with a female lead."

She added, "And it just makes me so happy every single time I see a movie come out that just blows through every one of those beliefs, and proves that it is just a lie to keep certain people out of the movies. To keep certain people in the same positions that they've always been in."

Her comment was quick to draw backlash from movie buffs who were quick to name other female actors who have played the lead role in many high-budget action films.

Clearing the air, Jennifer said in her recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter that people have taken her answer in a different context.

"That’s certainly not what I meant to say at all. I know that I am not the only woman who has ever led an action film. What I meant to emphasize was how good it feels. And I meant that with Viola — to blow past these old myths that you hear about. about the chatter that you would hear around that kind of thing. But it was my blunder and it came out wrong. I had nerves talking to a living legend."

Concluding her answer, Jennifer said, "One time I was quoted as saying that Donald Trump was responsible for hurricanes. I felt that one was ridiculous, that it was so stupid I didn’t need to comment. But this one, I was like, "I think I want to clarify."

Jennifer Lawrence on her female-led action film comment: ‘It came out wrong'

Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence recently sat down with one of the most renowned actresses of tinsel town, Viola Davis, for an episode of Variety's Actors on Actors. The two shared their thoughts on their craft, the state of female stars in films, motherhood and a lot more. However, one comment by Lawrence received wide criticism online and she got brutally trolled.

Speaking with Davis about her film 'The Woman King', Lawrence made a comment about female action heroes which didn't sit down well with many. She said, "I remember when I was doing 'Hunger Games', nobody had ever put a woman in the lead of an action movie because it wouldn't work - because we were told girls and boys can both identify with a male lead, but boys cannot identify with a female lead."

She added, "And it just makes me so happy every single time I see a movie come out that just blows through every one of those beliefs, and proves that it is just a lie to keep certain people out of the movies. To keep certain people in the same positions that they've always been in."

As the conversation aired, many quickly disagreed with Lawrence for saying that there were no female action movie leads before her.

In response to the interview, Franklin Leonard, founder of The Black List, tweeted, "It is untrue that no one had ever put a woman in an action movie before Jennifer Lawrence in 'Hunger Games'."

Leonard added, "It is absolutely true that Hollywood had and has a real bias against women-driven action movies because of this ridiculous belief about who identifies with whom."

Meanwhile, reacting to Lawrence's claims, netizens started referencing Sigourney Weaver for her role in the 'Alien' franchise, Linda Hamilton for her role in 'Terminator' movies and Pam Grier for her role in 'Foxy Brown'.

A few even gave references of Michelle Yeoh from 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon' and Angelina Jolie from 'Tomb Raider' movies, who had several action scenes in their films.

One user tweeted, "My point is that her statement was objectively not true. You can look it up yourself. There's been tons of action films starring women. Y'all just wanna pat yourselves on the back, like Jennifer Lawrence broke some kind of barrier. She didn't! (sic)"

Another wrote, "Jennifer Lawrence claiming she's the first ever strong female lead in any action film in the history of Hollywood is about the most self-centred thing I've heard out of Hollywood in at least 3 days. She said, "I remember when I was doing 'Hunger Games', nobody had ever put a woman in the lead of an action movie because it wouldn't work - because we were told girls and boys can both identify with a male lead, but boys cannot identify with a female lead." She added, "And it just makes me so happy every single time I see a movie come out that just blows through every one of those beliefs, and proves that it is just a lie to keep certain people out of the movies. To keep certain people in the same positions that they've always been in." As the conversation aired, many quickly disagreed with Lawrence for saying that there were no female action movie leads before her. Also read: Yearender 2022: Looking back at this year's worst-dressed celebrity moments In response to the interview, Franklin Leonard, founder of The Black List, tweeted, "It is untrue that no one had ever put a woman in an action movie before Jennifer Lawrence in 'Hunger Games'." Leonard added, "It is absolutely true that Hollywood had and has a real bias against women-driven action movies because of this ridiculous belief about who identifies with whom." Meanwhile, reacting to Lawrence's claims, netizens started referencing Sigourney Weaver for her role in the 'Alien' franchise, Linda Hamilton for her role in 'Terminator' movies and Pam Grier for her role in 'Foxy Brown'. She didn't! (sic)" Another wrote, "Jennifer Lawrence claiming she's the first ever strong female lead in any action film in the history of Hollywood is about the most self-centred thing I've heard out of Hollywood in at least 3 days. I mean come on. There's been hundreds that did far more in action films than her." WATCH WION LIVE HERE You can now write for wionews.com and be a part of the community. Jennifer Lawrence's comment on female action leads draws criticism

Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence is no longer a part of Adam McKay’s ‘Bad Blood’. The project based on the writer’s take on Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes’ fraud controversy is now on a lookout for a leading actor.

This comes after Jennifer Lawrence told a The NYT journalist that she made up her mind after she saw Amanda Seyfried play Holmes in the Hulu limited series ‘The Dropout’. The actress said, “I thought she was terrific.” and added, “I was like, ‘Yeah, we don’t need to redo that.’ She did it.” The actress also happened to be a producer on the project.

McKay is writing and directing while Jennifer Larence was acting and producing. The two have previously appeared together in Oscar-nominated film ‘Don’t Look Up’ in which she starred alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Timothee Chalamet.

Bad Blood also has Mckay as producer alongside Kevin Messick, Justine Polsky and Will Ferrell, with Apple Studios producing in association with Legendary Pictures.

The feature would profile Elizabeth Holmes as she built a billion dollar fortune for herself. It’s based on Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist John Carreyrou’s 2018 book ‘Bad Blood: Secrets and Lies in a Silicon Valley Startup’. The book explores Holmes’ rise and fall, as well as the greed within, and perils, of Silicon Valley’s hustle and hype culture.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Lawrence has her latest film ‘Causeway’ to start streaming on Apple on November 4.

Jennifer Lawrence not a part of Adam McKay's 'Bad Blood' because of this actress

Talking about her 'Hunger Games' success in a recent candid interaction, Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence confessed to having "lost a sense of control". After the film's massive success and winning an Oscar award for 2012's 'Silver Lining Playbook', Jennifer felt that she had turned into a commodity and she couldn't take her own decisions without consulting a huge group of people.

"I think I lost a sense of control. Between 'The Hunger Games' coming out and winning the Oscar [for 2012's 'Silver Lining Playbook'], I became such a commodity that I felt like every decision was a big, big group decision. When I reflect now, I can't think of those following years, [because there was] just a loss of control," Jennifer told Francine Stock for London Film Festival's 'Screen Talk' series.

She went on to explain how she clawed her identity back again. "It feels personal for me the first time in a long time," she said.

Jennifer made her silver screen debut in 2008 with 'Garden Party'. Her first acting assignment came to her at the age of nine. She played a prostitute in a church play based on the Book of Jonah. For the next few years, she continued taking part in church plays and school musicals.

Jennifer Lawrence feels she 'lost control' of her career post 'Hunger Games' success

Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence plays a soldier struggling with PTSD and past trauma in "Causeway", an indie drama which also marks the Hollywood star’s debut as a producer.

The film sees Lawrence's character, Lynsey, returning from Afghanistan with a debilitating brain injury sustained in an attack. Reluctantly returning to her hometown and her mother's house to recover, she befriends a local car mechanic (played by Brian Tyree Henry) and finds comfort and cure in the unlikely friendship.

Directed by Lila Neugebauer, the movie was shot before the COVID-19 pandemic and put an end to Lawrence's brief break from acting.

"I love Marvel movies or superhero movies as much as the next person, but there was just something that was so refreshing. I just hadn't seen something like that really since 'Winter's Bone,'" she said, referring to the 2010 movie that won Lawrence her first Oscar nomination.

"So I felt adamant that I really, really want to make this. I didn't know when because I was still, you know, on my hiatus. And then after getting dinner with Lila, I just knew that she was the person, and then we were shooting three months later," Lawrence told Reuters at the film's London Film Festival premiere on Saturday.

The pandemic allowed the film team to fine tune and sit with the movie. Like her character, Lawrence, who became a mother earlier this year, said she went through a transformation.

"I started the film when I was engaged. I came back married and pregnant. And, you know, I personally had such a different perception of staying, of home," Lawrence said, adding that she was "absolutely" eager to produce more movies in the future.

"Causeway" starts streaming on Apple TV+ on Nov. 4.

Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence, who welcomed a baby in February this year with her husband Cooke Maroney, spoke about motherhood and how it changed her life in a recent interview. The 'Hunger Games' star also revealed the gender of her baby for the first time in the interview.

While speaking to Vogue magazine, Jennifer said, "It is so scary to talk about motherhood. The experience is not the same for everyone."

She further added, "Only because it is so different for everybody. If I say it was amazing from the start, some people will think it was not amazing for me at first, and feel bad."

In the same interview, she shared that she was blessed with a boy and she named him 'Cy' after her husband's favourite artist Cy Twombly.

"The morning after I gave birth, I felt like my whole life had started over," she added. "Like, now is day one of my life. I just stared. I was just so in love. I also fell in love with all babies everywhere. Newborns are just so amazing. They are these pink, swollen, fragile little survivors. Now I love all babies. What are the chances of bumping into some stranger on the street wearing exactly what you are wearing that day? Pretty slim, right? Well, for Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence that strange and hilarious moment came recently.

What are the chances of bumping into some stranger on the street wearing exactly what you are wearing that day? Pretty slim, right? Well, for Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence that strange and hilarious moment came recently. On the street of NYC, she found her sartorial twin who was wearing the same strappy sand-coloured midi dress that she was wearing. Pictures of that surprising moment were captured on the lens and the two ladies are seen sharing a hearty laugh in their identical attires. While Jennifer paired her OOTD with black flats, the stranger wore matching platform heels with her ensemble. The actress had an umbrella in her hand and she had accessorised her outfit with a gold chain and round black sunglasses. Check out the viral photos below.
