"His batting has become almost faultless in Test cricket at the moment. There is just one problem we have seen in Test matches - he gets out while playing the pull shot at times. They have bowled him a short ball and kept a fielder there. That is an instinctive shot," he asserted.</p>

<p>Manjrekar further added, "If you see in ODI cricket, his pull shot is extremely interesting. His backlift doesn't come from the top, so he can play the ball down. He has a very low back lift, he just picks up the ball and the bat then goes behind his back in the follow-through to give the power."</p>

He added, "It's the same with Pakistan cricket as well. There is one sport and it is cricket, so it's a mindset thing."</p>

<p>Hayden advised the Indian team to focus on the process and not think&nbsp;about the outcomes. "Being cautious about looking for the scoreboard and looking for the titles and just playing and being a part of the process, something when you look at franchise setups, Gujarat Titans have done really well this year and CSK have done very well. <p>Former India star and commentator Mohammad Kaif has backed Ishan Kishan to make his debut for the Indian team as they prepare for the World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia. The WTC final, which will start at the iconic Oval Stadium in London on Wednesday (June 7), could see Ishan and KS Bharat battle for a place in the Playing XI. India are without Rishabh Pant and will like to replace his aggressive batting style with Ishan but Bharat’s experience could see him keep his place.</p>

<h2><strong>Kaif makes bold choice</strong></h2>

<p>“I would play Ishan Kishan over KS Bharat because you would want someone to play attacking shots at number six because the ball is old and Rishabh Pant used to play that role,” said Kaif in a conversation with Star Sports.</p>

<p>The Indian team has been missing the services of Pant since December, having suffered serious injuries in a road accident. His continued absence will be a major blow for India as he brings the attacking brand of cricket. KS Bharat has since taken over the first-choice keeper's tag and made his debut for the national side in February against Australia in Nagpur.</p>

<p>Pant is not the only piece missing in the puzzle for India as they also will be without Jasprit Bumrah, Shreyas Iyer, and KL Rahul. With big names missing several players are on the radar and could feature in the WTC final on Wednesday.</p>

<p>“At seven, I will play Jadeja and at eight I would either play Ashwin or Shardul, depending on the pitch conditions, and if the pitch suits spin then Ashwin can target the left-handed batsmen like Warner, Travis Head, and Khawaja, so it will be a good match up,” Kaif said while speaking on other combinations.</p>

<p>“I would take fast bowlers, Mohammed Shami, and Mohammed Siraj followed by Umesh Yadav at number 11. It’s early June, and you will need three fast bowlers plus Jadeja and Ashwin or Shardul, depending on the forecast,” added Kaif.</p>

<p>Veteran Australian star David Warner&nbsp;hit out at Cricket Australia (CA) as he took a dig at the board for a leadership-ban issue after the famous ‘sandpaper gate’ scandal in South Africa in 2018. Warner has recalled the 2018 issue, where he was the vice-captain of the side but as a consequence of the issue was banned from leading Australia. According to Warner, CA dragged the issue despite him wanting to put the case behind him and move on.</p>

<h2><strong>Warner’s dig at CA</strong></h2>

<p>"It was ridiculous. I wanted to put it to bed and they kept on just dragging it out and not giving answers. No one wanted to be accountable; no one wanted to make a decision. You have an administration where there seemed to be a lack of leadership," Warner was quoted as saying to the Sydney Morning Herald.</p>

<p>"They could have nipped it in the bud straight away, but I'm getting a phone call day one, two, three of the Test matches and speaking to lawyers etc when I didn't need to. I actually felt disrespected in the way that I wasn't able to actually have a clear mind to play the game and concentrate on the game,” he stated.</p>

<p>Warner has since served a ban and made a successful return to the side and was a pivotal figure in the 2021 T20 World Cup-winning side. He also helped Australia win the Ashes in 2022-23 but has since been struggling with form in the last few months.</p>

<p>“So, from that perspective, it wasn't even like, 'Oh, let's stop and we'll come back to this.' It was nine months, it was launched in February (2022). I was extremely disappointed," Warner added.</p>

<p>Now 36, Warner will look to get his mojo back, having scored only one hundred in Test cricket since 2020. He will be a key figure in the side in the Ashes as well but could face an axe from the side if he fails to deliver. As things stand, Australia are yet to announce their squad for the remaining three Ashes Test and will wait on the situation before deciding on Warner’s future.</p>
