The 58-piece collection will feature a contemporary riff on Americana that includes a denim bodysuit, breakaway denim track pants, cow-print activewear separates and denim chaps, reports claim.
Stage costumes worn by pop group Destiny`s Child at the height of their fame are hitting the auction block in June, along with gowns belonging to Lady Gaga, Whitney Houston and Cher.

Julien`s Auctions said on Monday that it was selling more than 100 lots of costumes owned and used by Destiny`s Child members Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams during the late 1990s and early 2000`s.

The outfits include the coordinating gold leather costumes worn by the three "Survivor" singers during a VH1 television tribute to Diana Ross in 2000, and the trio of futuristic metallic red and silver leather jumpsuits the women wore in their "Independent Women Part 1" music video that was the theme song for the 2000 movie "Charlie`s Angels."
"These three outfits are so iconic and represent such an important song," said Martin Nolan, executive director of Julien`s Auctions.

The dozens of costumes, most of which were designed by Beyonce`s mother Tina Knowles Lawson, are expected to fetch between $600 and $10,000 each at the three-day auction in Beverly Hills on June 11-13.

Julien`s said the outfits were donated by the families of the Destiny`s Child singers after spending years in storage. A portion of the proceeds will benefit MusiCares, the charitable arm of the Recording Academy that has helped musicians who are struggling because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Destiny`s Child, one of the most influential female groups of early 2000s, went through several lineups and officially split in 2006. Beyonce went on to forge a huge solo career.

Other items up for sale in June include an Atelier Versace gold gossamer gown worn by the late Whitney Houston for a performance in Paris in July 1998 (estimated at $20,000 - $30,000), and the net bodysuit and motorcycle jacket outfit worn by Cher in the 1989 music video for "If I Could Turn Back Time" that last sold at auction five years ago for $60,000.

Singers Megan Thee Stallion, Harry Styles and Bad Bunny rounded out the list as the eighth, ninth and tenth most-tweeted-about music stars in the US in 2020.
Grammys 2021 snubs The Weekend, Beyonce leads with nine nods

The 63rd Grammy awards nominations were announced on Tuesday and was dominated by Beyonce who earned 9 nominations in total. While many celebrated the mention of alternative musicians in the list, there were of course some notable snubs.

Canadian singer The Weeknd did not find a single mention in the list. Fans and the singer himself had expected the Grammys to acknowledge his recent album 'After Hours' which ranked on top Billboard till recently and has been well received.

Soon after the announcement was made, The Weekend accused the Recording Academy- the body responsible for the awards- of being 'corrupt'.

Hours after The Weeknd accused the Academy of being corrupt, its chief Harvey Mason Jr has responded in statement.

"Congratulations to today’s GRAMMY’s nominees who have earned their peers’ recognition for their incredible work," he wrote. "There were a record number of submissions in this unusual and competitive year. We understand that The Weeknd is disappointed at not being nominated. I was surprised and can empathize with what he’s feeling. His music this year was excellent, and his contributions to the music community and broader world are worthy of everyone’s admiration. We were thrilled when we found out he would be performing at the upcoming Super Bowl and we would have loved to have him also perform on the GRAMMY stage the weekend before," the statement that has been provided to The Hollywood Reporter, reads.

"Unfortunately, every year, there are fewer nominations than the number of deserving artists," the statement continued. "But as the only peer-voted music award, we will continue to recognize and celebrate excellence in music while shining a light on the many amazing artists that make up our global community. To be clear, voting in all categories ended well before The Weeknd’s
performance at the Super Bowl was announced, so in no way could it have affected the nomination process. All GRAMMY nominees are recognized by the voting body for their excellence, and we congratulate them all, " it further added.

Other artists such as Harry Styles, BTS, Luke Combs, The Jonas Brothers and more were also snubbed.

Styles received nominations in the best pop vocal album category but he was shut out of all four major categories.

BTS, on the other hand, created history as it became the first K-pop band to earn a Grammy nomination in a pop duo/group performance category.

Not just Weeknd but Justin Bieber too showed his displeasure over the nominations.

Bieber received four nominations including best pop solo performance for 'Yummy,' but stated that his album 'Changes' should have been categorized as R&B instead of Pop.

"To the Grammys, I am flattered to be acknowledged and appreciated for my artistry," Bieber wrote. "I am very meticulous and intentional about my music. With that being said, I set out to make an R&B album. Changes was and is an R&B album. It is not being acknowledged as an R&B album, which is very strange to me. I grew up admiring R&B music and wished to make a project that would embody that sound. For this not to be put into that category feels weird, considering from the chords to the melodies to the vocal style, all the way down to the hip-hop drums that were chosen, it is undeniably, unmistakably an R&B album!" the singer said on Instagram.

The Grammys will take place in January and will be hosted by Trevor Noah.

US Elections 2020: Beyonce comes out to vote as she endorses Joe Biden, Kamala Harris

Beyonce perfectly embodies the model of a Queen, as the singer celebrated her 39th birthday and she took this special day and use it as an opportunity to thanks her fans for all they have given to her.

The singer on her birthday revealed a generous donation for the Black-owned businesses. '' Proud to announce $1M in additional funds from Beyonce to help Black-owned small businesses. Round two of funding opens this month with our partner, NAACP''.

The pop icon has donated $1 million to help black-owned small businesses across major cities in the US that have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

''NAACP Empowerment Programs is delighted to administer a meaningful program in partnership with BeyGOOD’s Black-Owned Small Business Impact Fund to assist our small business communities that have been directly impacted by recent events across the country. The grants for $ 10,000 will be offered to Black-owned small businesses in select cities to help sustain businesses during this time. The NAACP is proud to partner with BeyGOOD to help strengthen small businesses and to ensure economic empowerment for Black businesses,'' the NAACP wrote.

Beyonce is known for her contribution and work for the society and specifically for the black lives. Previously during the pandemic, Queen B spoke about how Covid-19 is disproportionately affecting African-American citizens.

In a video message at the Together At a Home concert earlier this year, she said: "This virus is killing black people at an alarmingly high rate here in America".

She said the impact was particularly high because black Americans "disproportionately belong to essential parts of the workforce that do not have the luxury of working from home," including delivery workers, mail carriers, and sanitation employees. "Please protect yourselves," she concluded. "We are one family and we need you."
