Indian fans started celebrations after India entered the semi-finals of the tournament after defeating Bangladesh by 28 runs
An 87-year-old India cricket fan, named Charulata Patel, became the internet sensation after she was spotted cheering for Team India during the India vs Bangladesh World Cup match at Edgbaston on Tuesday.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli could not resist himself from meeting Charulata and he also called her one of the most passionate and dedicated fans he has ever seen.
Virat took to Twitter to thank the special fan, he wrote, "Also would like to thank all our fans for all the love & support & especially Charulata Patel ji. She's 87 and probably one of the most passionate & dedicated fans I've ever seen. Age is just a number, the passion takes you leaps & bounds. With her blessings, on to the next one."

Indian fans started the celebrations when India entered the semi-finals of the tournament after defeating Bangladesh by 28 runs.
During the match, Charulata was spotted in the stands blowing a vuvuzela and fans and commentators appreciated her spirit for the game even at this age.
Charulata, who saw India lift the World Cup for the first time in 1983, said she had danced back then and will dance again after India beat Bangladesh.

"They (Indian cricket team in 1983) won and got to that you know that World Cup…I got so proud you know, I start(ed) to dance and today I say(said) to my granddaughter I say(said) today also when India (is) going to win with (against) that Bangladesh I am going to dance there," said Charulata.
India will now compete against Sri Lanka on July 6.
